Nobody knows if he's really done until he's really done.

But the odds of him winning next year's Masters are no greater than were the odds of him winning this year's Masters. He's the longest of long shots in any tournament he enters.

I could turn your comments around and say that Tiger fans spent a decade predicting him to come back and win every stinking major. Like clockwork. When he finally does it (once) that somehow vindicates all those wrong predictions, eh?

Maybe it was the be all end all of being tough in golf . . . the sport they play in the US Open.

Maybe not, though. I'm sure a Young Nicklaus once played with a severed arm, stared down the club champ to win the 1954 Scioto Wing-Ding, grew the arm back, and was double-fisting corn on the cob by dinner time.

Something has certainly changed between last year and this year, and because of that, as a fan, I'm concerned. However the 2019 Masters is probably the best golfing memory I will have for a long, long time. I will never forget how nervous I was all morning and how much my heart was pounding, for four+ straight hours. I have never felt that way watching anything before. As much as I want to watch something like that again, and I certainly hope it happens, it would be a fitting end to a fantastic career.

I honestly think he's just going to play it by ear going forward. The Masters was the big prize he wanted.

If he feels good, he'll put in more tournament and prep time. If he doesn't feel good, he might show up for the big events and just hope it works out. I think that's what he's been doing since the Masters - not playing much golf, but putting in a little prep time and then hoping he feels good when it's time to play. There's nothing wrong with that. I just wish the media would quit acting like his fusion is big news - it's not. Everyone knows he's going to be battling that from here until the end of his career.

I mean, its great to see tiger tees up every now and then, i dont care if he wd or misses cut, why should he even care? Hes won at almost every single venue so what hes got on his shoulders?

I jst hope that tiger enjoys the rounds that he plays, even if hes not in contention, so what? Have a bit fun, just like ernie els, tiger will get his No. 82 soon or later

That's what they said about Jordan. Then along came LeBron. That's what they said about Sampras. Then along came Federer. That's what they said about Montana. Then along came Brady. That's what they said about Ruth. Then along came Aaron. That's what they said about Ali. Then along came Tyson. That's what they said about Nicklaus. Then along came Tiger. There's always another transcendent player on the horizon. And he'll be here sooner than you think.
