Best to call PXG and talk to James Russo at 844-PLAY-PXG, #4. The counterfeits of the GEN2 irons are very difficult to tell visually.

I would note that the ferrules on these are longer than the standard PXG ferrule...are these KBS TGI shafts? Chinese use these as a standard offering!

Note: The Chinese do use authentic serial numbers, but they likely do not match the clubheads they are place on, ie s/n matches a silver head but head is black.

Just provide the serial numbers and description of clubheads with model 0311P GEN2 and black finish. May also provide photos if needed.

Excellent example of some PXG 0311XF Gen2 FAKES!! This Seller on Ebay has sold fakes before!!

Note: The "FORGED" in these appears in Italics; The ferrule is not PXG length...too long; the PXG logo has the incorrect spacing for the Black finish..........

Bottom line check PXG serial numbers with PXG for match with clubheads before buying!

I have personally reported dozens to Ebay.

Unfortunately, Ebay does not provide the ability to provide more than a couple short sentences and no photos.

Bottom line Ebay does not have the time to check authenticity claims, and will not even notify a Buyer to check with PXG as they have been reported to them as possibly counterfeits.

 

I have also written a letter to Ebay suggesting that since they cannot check on many claims of counterfeit clubs that they at least notify a Buyer that this claim has been made on these pxg clubs....no reply! Then the Buyer can check further on such claim.

O sent a PM to someone who had fake club on ebay. They satted they did not know and pulled it immediately. Sometimes the threat works wonders!

Everything I send to Ebay gets sent to the Seller first and then Ebay gets links to the more extensive messages to the Seller that contain photos and reasons. Yes, some will remove the item; many will not.

The spacing of the letters in PXG looks wider than normal for the "xtreme dark" finished irons.

Q. Does the face lower groove have white paintfill?

Serial number needs to be checked and with model (XF GEN2, iron #, and finish (xtreme dark).

What does the ferrule look like?

There are many Threads in this Forum by golfers wondering if a club they intend to purchase may be Fake. This is only about PXG as I just don't have the time to sort out all of the many other brands that have Fakes as well. Maybe someone else will do that.

Well if my Experience  is anything to go by,

   my fitting with a PXG fitter in the UK,

   Was a complete  waste of my time.

            First thing the guy looked bored,

          looking forward to hitting screen 

       where you hit ball at, just in case, large  hole on screen

        clearly not functioning  at all.

         Fitter was as interested as a wet haddock.
