FINALLY! Got my own putter milled

Hello guys, let me know your thoughts on this one. Designed by me in CAD and then CNC milled from a single block of 1018 mild carbon steel.

350g headweight, tri-sole, 3 degrees of loft, 1 degree sole draft. No face milling as of now but will propably mill after testing.

Let me know your thoughts about it and please dont ask me what the price was??

Looks good. I won`t ask what the price was, but I bet a lot of people are curious, mostly because some might want to do something similar.

Also do you plan on doing any sight lines or going to keep it bare for now?

Neck is milled with the body aswell. It wont be any lines or dot. I love the clean look it rocks now ?

Cool. Is there a difference in feel of a milled neck vs a welded on neck?

 

As for the no lines I get that, some people really enjoy that.

No, just for looks. The welding is a nice touch though.

What are you using to hand shape it?

Really nice take on the Anser 2. I'd personally leave the face unmilled. How are you going to clean it up/shape it by hand?

I started some softening with my multi-tool attachment, but it was a bit aggressive so I did some handshaping which looked better. I might polish it up to remove milling marks and then sandblast it.

 

But this was just a first prototype, next one will have all radius CNC milled for a better look. It adds cost, but will be worth it.

 

Personally Im very pleased with the outcome so far, for me, its all about looks after the essentials (COG, weight, toe hang, etc) and I think its one of the best takes on a Anser 2 I have seen. Extremely biased of course.

That’s beautiful. I’d love to be able to do something like this myself, I love to tinker with putters of all different shapes with different alignment aids and such. This is awesome

Thanks man, I have wanted to do this for a long time so it feels great. If I had more cash I would spend on more designs.

Excellent work. I would kill to get a blank head like that and be able to finish it off. What size the process of rounding the hotel or is that something the mill can do? How did you bore out the hole? That is awesome.

Thank you! This is 100% CNC milled, top to bottom including the hosel. And this is how it looks like coming straight of the mill, with all the milling marks and all. Next one I do will be the same but with alot more rounded edges to give it a more finished or softer look. The more details, the higher price so I kept this one fairly simple for testing.
