Questions on new build..

Bought shafts off ebay said 4-pw but the sizes are all over.. If I cut the butt end nothing will be affected correct? Also if the specs say 37.5 do I just use a ruler? Or do I have to have it attached to the club then measure?

The shafts I pilled had weights at the tips, should I remove and install in new shafts?

Thanks for the help!

Used shafts will be cut to the set they came from, and we can measure shaft without the heads but only get to know net shaft length, or included the head using a Golf Ruler (see below) to get Play length.

Tip weights belongs to the heads, NOT the shaft, and we use them for heads thats off specs (lighter than 7 grams between heads) so if you have other heads, you have to figure out how much if any weight is needed to add on them. Put them all on a gram scale and take notes. Then draw a slope with 7 grams plus for each club head shorter and you will see what heads that needs more weight and how much.

A golf ruler has a fixed lie of 60* so just draw a 60* pyramid and add the ruler as point zero from the corner of the pyramid.

This is needed to measure play length.

Would the golf ruler which I have is measure from sole to desired length correct? Titleist is measure to shaft tip no grip, so sole to ground mark at desired length from ruler.

Swing weight I can fix with tape or weights, but tape is easier.

Not sure as I have never seen the 60degree chart before, but the ruler shows you how to tell

Since you are new to this, i dont think its smart of me to introduce you to all the different measurement ways there is, they vary from OEM to OEM, but since you mention Titleist, they use a fixed 60* lie like this ruler WITH grips on, so this is the Ruler you should use. Any other measure way will give different return numbers, and then Titleist specs dont match.

This is also the USGA standard for how they measure a driver to make sure its not over 48.00" who is their limit, and its the most common ruler among club makers, so use this one.

This is Mitchells ruler, its the same with a fixed 60* lie, so draw it your self or buy this one.
