Wedge shafts in relationship to your iron shafts?

What shafts do you run in your wedges in relationship to your iron shafts?

 

Same, softer flex, stiffer flex, heavier?

I run the same shafts from Hybrids to wedges. No idea why other than they work ok and I feel cooler with the TI shaft bands :D

I was using the same shafts as my irons, but then went to a slightly heavier shaft and got much better results.

KBS Tour FLT Stiff 120g in my 3-GW.

Dynamic Gold S200 in my SW and LW.

My SW is a bit heavier than PW-2i but the same shaft and manufacture. My LW has a DGS200 shaft only it's 36" in length and E0 SW.

Wedges are stiffer and 10g heavier.

Same through all irons. 130g C-Taper. I like the consistency.

I have the C-Taper 120g in my irons and I love the shafts. I’m about to get new wedges so I’m researching shafts.

Heavier. Love s400 in my wedges.

I agree on heavier. You can't go wrong with an S400. I previously had used those, but went to the C-Taper so the shafts were all the same dull matte grey as the rest of my irons. My woods have various shafts and shaft colors and it doesn't seem to bother me. Humans are strange.

Lob I've enjoyed the KBS 610 125g since it's release.

px lz 6.5 softstepped in irons, s400 in the wedges. Tried to match the wedges to iron shafts, but doesn't feel quite right. Can't get away from the s400's.

All the same for irons and wedges with the exception of my highest lofted wedge. I rarely take full swing with it so it has a heavier shaft in it.

Right now I play irons with a regular shafts that are hard stepped and my 50 and 54 degree wedges have stiff shafts. My 58 that I use from the sand has a wedge flex. It seems to me I get it up in the air better out of the sand with a softer landing than when I had a stiff shaft in the 58.

Currently got S400 in my irons, S200 in the Wedges. Would ideally like them to match, but my wedges are that dialled in at the moment I don't really want to change them.

Modus in the 4-GW then modus wedge in the 54/58. Prefer the lower flight of the wedge specific shaft and the increased weight compared to keeping the same shaft across the board.

Same weight and flex for me - always have played that way!

I’m thinking on my gap wedge (probably going to be a 50 degree) of going close to my iron wedges with a shaft if not the same. The 50 will be used for full shots and bump and run chips.

 

My 54 or 56 SW..... and ...... 58 or 60 LW may require different shafts since some 1/2 and 3/4 swings will be used with these wedges.

S400 Tour Issue in my SW and LW. The heaviness helps me around the greens and full shots.

 

PX 6.0 in the irons. I would prefer an S400 in the PW though.

If we use the same shaft for irons and wedges, we go "descending weight" into wedges, and for me that never felt right, so ive always suggested to start out from a higher shaft weight for wedges than irons, and if possible, some NET progression UP vs irons. 5 to 10 grams uncut shaft wgt above irons is a good starting point.

Two sets of clubs with two sets of wedges, the Callaway set has the same shafts as my irons (KBS C-Taper 130x) and in my Ping set (gamers) same as irons as well (Project X, Flighted 6.5)

Always DG TI s400 in wedges. Regardless of what shaft is in my irons. I've toyed a lot with different iron shafts so just sticking with the s400 in my wedges has kept it consistent. I've tried to match wedges to irons but when I want to go to a different iron shaft I have to get new wedges.

X100 in my irons and s200 in my wedges. Been getting a very ballooning flight so I’m considering going heavier/stiffer next time I get new wedges.
