Who Makes the Most Durable Golf Glove???

EZCUSE

Recommended Posts

I'm sure I'm not the only one out there but I tend to burn through golf gloves super fast. I am constantly cleaning my grips so I know that is not the issue. I use the FootJoy StaSof's which I absolutely love but at $22 a pop I which I could find something just as durable but not as cheap. I literally tried the Callaway Apex Tour glove and after one session on the range I had torn through the palm of the glove.

Am I gripping too tight? Sure. However, if anyone has any recommendations of durable cabratta leather golf gloves out in the market at a reasonable price, I would love to hear what else you guys use.

Costco/Kirkland. I played my first glove for 27 rounds or something ridiculous like that.

Don’t grip it so tight. The grip is tapered so that it snugs into your top hand/glove hand when it is swung. As long as the top of your hand stays closed, it’s not going to slip out. The glove just reinforces the snugness. No need to grip it tight at all.

I’ll second the Kirkland glove. I have played 6 rounds with my first of the 4 pack and it is still holding up fine. And even if it wasn’t, it’s $24 for the four-pack instead of $22 for one. If it lasts more than 1/4th as long, you’re coming out ahead.

This. I buy 2 on the first of every month and rotate them which seems to make them last longer. I don’t think they are more durable but the price point is so low that I don’t care that I go through 2/month.

Another voter here for MG gloves. They are the best value that I have found. Just don't buy the cheapest glove that they offer. I can't remember the name, but it is not as good of leather as the one that costs $1 more. If I start wearing holes in a glove really quick, that is when I know that my grip is getting off.

Be sure you are buying the correct size glove. FJ has the sizing chart for help. It should fit uncomfortably tight at first and then will stretch with use. I have played StaSof gloves for a long time now and never had a problem with them, usually go 3-4 months at a time with 1 glove. Granted I play maybe a handful of times a month but go to the rage as often as I can and use the same glove.

NOT Titleist Permasoft...but I still use them because I love them.

But they do wear out quickly, so avoid those if you want durability.

I am a cadet medium as well. Try the small. I have tried both their medium and small but the finger length on the medium was way too long for me. The small might be a bit snug in the palm at first but stretches out nicely.

I've been using these. Great glove. Great price. I really can't tell the diference between these and high dollar gloves.

This is the way to go. I still buy Titleist players for events/tourneys because they fit my hand a little better, but use the MG Elites as my regular glove. The biggest benefit is that I'm not tempted to try and get any extra rounds out my gloves once they get too worn. I still can't help feeling guilty throwing out a $20 golf glove, not matter how crusty and disgusting it gets. Holdover from my broke grad school days.

I play golf 2-3 times per week, plus hit a small bucket before teeing off, and vacations are extended golf trips, where I play daily. In other words, I play a lot of golf. Anyhow, my Titleist Players glove lasts for about a year, sometimes longer. How can that be you might ask? Well, using the proper grip of the club doesn't wear the palm of the glove, and I don't wear it throughout the round so it doesn't soak up hand oils or other junk I may touch. I do not wear the same golf over and over every time I play either. I carry three gloves and switch gloves and each is kept in glove sleeve. I simply take care of what I buy. Just like an iron and driver tee usually lasts weeks and I switch golf shoes.

Titleist Permasoft is the best combo of performance and slightly thicker leather for longevity. Been choosing these in hot Texas for 15 years

I can't compare to that glove, but I do know the medium MG glove I bought ran bigger than any other medium glove I've bought. Fingers are too long, and overall doesn't fit well for me.

I had stitching issues with the MG gloves and their sizing was inconsistent.
