All Ohio WRX Outing Version 3.0

There has been some interest among the masses to have another Ohio outing in the Cleveland Area. Some potential courses would be the Quarry, Valley of Eagles, Boulder Creek, or Hawk's Nest. Looking at the the last week of August or some time in September. If you are interested, just reply to this thread with a day of the week that works best for you and if you have a course preference.

This far out, any date/time works for me. As far as courses go, I haven't played any of them so I don't have a preference.

Any interest in Saturday September 14th? If you can play that day and we can get an idea of the number, I will make some tee times. The only real danger with that time of year is aeration on the greens but I can ask when i call. I am going to call The Quarry first and Hawk's Nest would be the second choice.

Possibly. I’m in contract to sell my condo. I’m supposed to close Sept 3. If everything goes ok and we don’t fall out I will likely come. Buyers remedy list is silly and unreasonable. It May not work out and I would need to re list. We’ll see.

Working unfortunately. Really like Boulder Creek and Quarry on your list. Played Hawk's nest once and it wasn't as memorable for me. Never heard of Valley of Eagles. Look into Shale Creek and Windmill Lakes - Both fun fun tracks. Sleepy Hollow up that way if Between Akron-Cleveland is the goal. Its a great Cleveland Public course in Brecksville. Fowlers Mill is way up there on NE side but really cool. Good Park is such a fun old public track. So is Roses Run. Chippewa is fun but def quirky.

Windmill is a mess this year from all the rain. I invited some guys that I have played with in another group. We might have a pretty good turn out when its all said and done. We could end up with three groups, maybe even four.

The Quarry hasn't started taking tee times yet that far out so I guess the big question is what time does everybody want to play? I don't know what the drive looks like for some of you so I would guess anything after 9AM but before 12 could work. If you are driving a bit, let me know if you prefer the early or late start.

I have about a 3 hour drive. I could do as early as 9AM, but wouldn't be opposed to starting just a bit later either.

Hellstorm and I just played the quarry this afternoon and we’re not sure it’s a good course for this type of outing. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice, greens are good but a bit slow. There’s several blind tee shots, several dog legs that are blind and misleading. It’s one of those courses that you’d have to play a couple times to get your tee shots in the right spots.

Anyone interested in Apple Valley? A bit more central and it's probably been 15 years since I played there - still a great track from people I've talked to who have played it recently.
