What clubs in your bag ARE safe?

Hard to pick just one, but I would say it would have to be my 60.04 Vokey. It might wear out and need replaced every now and then but I will keep that loft and grind in my bag for as long as they keep making it.

Irons are safe, best all round iron I've ever used, I do swap the AW & SW out for Engage 50 and 54 degree options from time to time though. Depending on the course I also swap the 3 and 4 irons out for the corresponding Nike Covert Hybrids. The driver and 5 wood are almost ever present, but when I get an OCD attack I put the Covert driver and 5 wood in. The only real moving club in the bag ATM is the putter, I used an Odyssey 2 Ball DFX for almost 15 years but recently started looking for a replacement as it is very worn now and I am looking to go with a Odyssey #9 type (Nike Method 003 preferrably, but they're hard to find, especially in the UK).

Only clubs 100% safe right now are my G410+ driver and my Nike VR Pro II hybrid.

I love my TM Milled Grind wedges, but I’m tempted to try the new Glide 3.0.

I just put a Vault 2.0 Dale Anser in the bag, but haven’t played a round with it. Who knows how it will work out. Felt great in practice.

I want i210s, so irons might be on chopping block.

Trying to get to the all safe phase of my life. But currently the Callaway Epic Flash, the AP1 718 6-GW and 53 degree, and the 58 degree SM6 Sand wedge are set for a long time. Getting the itch to do some switching it up on my Ping G15 3 and/or 5 to a 4 wood and 3-4-5 hybrids are Baffler XLs are getting old but damn they are reliable. So not sure yet, And as far as putters, got a collection of 10 or so and they can be swapped out at anytime and they know it. Talk to them all the time. The only one I might add is a Spider.

Really everything but my irons and I suppose my bag are safe. My G Crossover is beyond safe, comes into play on tee shots on short/tight par 4's and I am over 65% FIR with it. The second that used 1st gen TM p790's experience a price drop my Rbladez are most likely goners.

What day of the week is it? That's how I feel with my clubs. However, the firmly cemented spots in my bag are the Glide Stealths, the Rogue 5w, and the two putters. The Rogue 3w has always been a bit hit and miss, it's either annihilated dead straight like 250 or the opposite of straight. I might shaft it up with a Thump 75 and see if that works and if not look for something else. My New Level irons I have a love-hate relationship with right now. I love them because when I hit them in the middle they are point and shoot with the faintest fade and feel better than any iron I have ever hit (yes including Mizuno and Titleist CBs and MBs). However, they are kinda punishing on mishits off the toe (my main squeeze) where they knuckle with little carry and a violent loop left about 2/3rds into the flight. So we will see. It's getting kinda-sorta near the latter half of the season in Canada anyway so there's no point in changing right now especially with new Titleist, Taylormade, Mizuno, Callaway, and Ping irons due out by February at the latest.

Taylormade R510TP - Speeder 757 Sonartec NP-99 14* and 17* - NV Green 85 Nickent Genex 3DX 21* - Dynamic Gold SL Titleist 660 4-P - Dynamic Gold Cleveland 54* and 59* - Dynamic Gold Scotty Cameron Teryllium

As of right now, just the hybrids and putter are safe... I've been arguing with everything else in the bag for a couple of weeks

Cally XR 3 wood, F6 4-5 wood, Ping G25 23 deg hybrid are safe. Completely trust them, and they have totally changed my game and confidence level at the top end of the bag.

My Scotty CT and Byron 614 putters are not going anywhere either - more for sentimental and aesthetic pleasure, though I putt well with them too.

Only my 915H 2 hybrid is safe, they rest are on notice!!! Actually it would take a lot to kick the 2016 M2 out of my bag and the vokey wedges would only be replaced by newer vokey versions. The irons, putter, and 3 wood are suspect at this point, but the Rogue 3 wood is almost to safe status.

Dead, flat-out honest?

Every single one of them is safe, and yet none of them at all.

I know, I know, but let me 'splain it to you Lucy.

I can walk out my door right now and go peg it with 100% confidence that every club in my bag is currently the single best club, to which I have access, to do the job at hand. But, I can also say with 100% certainty that if you walk up to me and show me a club that has data that shows that it simply outperforms the current stick in that spot in my bag, well, I'd be a fool not to STRONGLY consider changing.

The only exceptions here, IMHO, would be in the case of a putter (Snedecker) that just has too many good memories (not just any memories!!! GOOD memories) and has a ton of confidence built into it, or a driver shaft (D.J.) that, while not 100% perfect, is so close that it doesn't really matter and, again, you have a massive amount of confidence in it.

Everything else is always open, and yet always confident. Such is the yin/yang nature of golf and life. As a rule, you will play your best when you are confident and satisfied with what you have, and you will improve the most when you are hungry and dissatisfied. Each golfer, and person in life, is responsible for managing that balance.

And then after all of that, you can do what I was doing last night. Specifically trolling around eBay trying to figure out a way to put together a minimalist set with raw wedges, irons, & putter, using as much of what's in my garage currently, but also finding iron heads that are the right amount of offset, but what lofts, I don't know, and what shafts will I use, who knows, and for cheap, of course! Yada, yada, yada.

Back on the merry-go-round I go, I'm a WRX'er after all!!!!!!

Everything is fairly safe outside of the MP-T5 55 and 60 degree wedges. They are getting worn, but I have T7s waiting in the wings. The irons and putter are 100% safe for the foreseeable future. Cannot say enough good things about the 716 CBs.
