That's probably a good take.

I say "probably" because I don't know jack about the swing.

But, I know where my ding a ling is pointed at impact, and it's quite left of where his ding a ling is pointed.

As Harvey Penick used to say, "you have to swing the ding."

Gonna be like 15 players going to the second hole for 1 spot. Short down hill par 5 with a wicked green. That should be good.

edit : 18 players.

Here should have been my response:

That's a very "Platinum Tees" joke.

Well I would hate to feel I have to go after every drive instead of just swinging normal.

actually they are, but they converted to a par 4. I was confused by the announcers saying "par is a good score here".

Not a self diagnosed thing. I brought a professional to the range with me after the round lol.

Go look at anybody that's somebody. They ain't backing up.

Thank you for making me regret posting, Domes. I'm having daydream nightmares of that GIF already.

If you haven't really started getting along with it by now, it might be time to exercise that 30 day playability deal at 2nd Swing.

45 days fortunately. i do want to look up when that was. i've played 3 club c rounds and 1 casual round with it. i wasn't exactly trying to figure it out the first three rounds. i was 100% playing golf. i'm not very far into the adjustment time period. and i'm not totally convinced that a driver that goes significantly further isn't to my benefit anyway? for me hitting it further off the tee may be a more realistic path to improvement than hitting it straighter?

TIL that Fabb's Ding a Ling is so big he has trouble getting his hips around it to the impact position.

That's where I snap hooked one against Obee and then broke my hybrid shaft in my backswing on my second shot. Then, a couple of us teed off on the wrong 18th hole.

It really depends on what type of undies you have one. Tighty whities/boxer briefs/banana hammock tends to keep Big Jim and the twins quiet. If you rock boxers or heaven forbid, to commando, use can use the centrifugal force of the dingus flopping to speed the hips to gain some distance. Disclaimer - I do not recommend going commando walking the golf course. Especially in 90 degree temps are if you are carrying extra lbs.

I'm not convinced you can't have a driver you hit further, and also consistently. You went in there and got a recommendation to find a head of approximately X degrees of loft, with an x-flex shaft approximately X grams in weight. You half-a$$ hit a few different things, and then walked out with something you never really hit. Take an hour, and hit more different things, until you find what you like the most.

If I've been hitting something for 4 rounds, and I'm not sure about it by then, there's 0.0 chance I'm keeping that club around.

My birthday today and reading about ding a lings sitting at Worthington.

Same routine every year.9

Morning round at Musket - free on your birthday!

Lunch at Worthington.

Afternoon round at Whiskey Creek.

6cwmdiy02l81.jpeg

Musket is one of my favorite courses - scenic and relaxed but penal if you are not in the fairway. Fairways and course are not up to their usual standards though but still good. Only course where i feel i have to hit all my long clubs off the tee. Course seems to be aging along with the mainly Uber senior guys that were there / guess you have to be retired to play during the week.

I finished my trip report from Scotland in the UK travel section. Bunch of posts - not my best work. But plenty of golf pics posted.
