So I thought about this, but my understanding is that you don’t really want to bend a club more than 2 degrees. So if I ordered a 46 degree pw (mine is power spec at 45) and bent it to 48, I’m concerned that I won’t hit my gap. Today my PW is my 145 club and my 54 degree is a 105 max club. Idk maybe I’m just over thinking this but in my mind I wanted a 50 degree club.

I hear ya, my 919’s will be in Friday, and for my gap I was just told my glide3 50, 58 and new Cleveland 56 came in today.

I like the 58 from bunker, 50 like 120-25 & 56 I like from 100 and chipping around green, the 56SW Ping 410 is such a crazy nice club around the greens.

I'm in the same situation as well and looking for a 50*. Currently I have a 56 and 60 in Glide Stealth which I like. I think also I'll use my 50 for more full approach shots. Shall I stick with Stealth or go with Forged?

So what does everyone think of the Blueprints after hitting them for awhile? I currently am playing the 2019 Cobra CB/MB Combos. I really enjoy playing the Cobras, but something about these Blueprints have been bugging me. I really want to hit them, but being a lefty it appears the only way I will be able to is to actually purchase a set.

Has anyone hit both? How do they compare? Is it worth the switch?

I've hit both and was considering those Corbas also but ended up going with the Blueprints because of the thinner and smaller profiles, feel, and just the ability to hit them better.

So I have played one round with the blueprints since reshafting them with the modus 120s, I must say they are a totally different animal with these shafts. Ball flight is much higher with no ballooning and they are very forgiving for what they are. Compared to the P7TW’s they also have a higher ball flight with the same shafts. I am going to take them to the range tomorrow and then to a launch monitor next week before I make my final judgement on which one will stay in the bag. Here are a few side by sides.

I’ve always been a Nike or Mizuno blade person, but these really have my attention. Never would have thought I’d go for Ping irons, but they have produced a masterpiece this time.

Trying very hard told hold off on pulling the trigger until the MP20s come out. Seems like those are the only other set that can challenge the BPs.

Anyone seen these and the MP20s in person yet and can share views on both?

I played the Cobras for a season and just could not get consistent distances out of the longer irons. I always found this strange because the longer clubs were the CBs. Blueprint distances have been really good for me so far. Granted its been all of a week but I have played a lot of golf and so far it is not even close. Although my brother is thrilled with the Cobras so go figure.

Hey @JerryTBall, would you mind taking a top down pic of that 50 degree? I'm curious to see the shape/size of it. I've got the CBX wedges for 54 and 60, which I actually prefer the large forgiving heads as I struggle with pitching/chipping "yips" so the forgiveness is good for me. But on full swings from a 120 yards, I'm really not looking for a big shovel.

Ping sent you weights? I asked last year for my i500's and they wouldn't send them, only replace the ones in the heads after I sent them the clubs. What's your angle/mojo/mind control you used!

Only because my 9i came in light by a few points and I don't want to send them back the club

I ended up filling my gap with a Cleveland RTX 50 degree. It transitions nicely from my Blueprint PW to my CBX wedges. Blueprints are performing so well, I've never been so satisfied with a set of clubs.

For anyone blending Ping irons, I've found the Blueprint in power spec blends perfectly with my i500s in normal lofts. These BP's are the most accurate and consistent irons I've ever owned. Not hyperbole.

So I had a chance to test these on an HD Golf simulator with spin cameras. I put my blueprint 7 iron with modus 120 S against my P7TW 7 iron with modus 120 S and against a demo 7 iron blueprint with stock dynamic gold 120 shaft. I was lazy and didn’t change the names at the top but here are the avgs.

ai1vi27fo5ub.jpeg

Blueprint w/ modus is on the left, blueprint w/ DG is center, P7TW w/ modus is on the right.

First thing I noticed is my spin seems way low. Ball flight, height, and carry distance is all similar to what I see real world. The total distance (roll) is not what I see as most of my shots land within a few feet of their pitch marks with a 7 iron.

At the end of hitting all of them I was more confused than when I started. The DG’s gave better #’s than I expected as I always feel they are to stout for my taste. The P7TW’s had what I felt to be good numbers as well and I didn’t want them to be so close to the blueprints. In the end I decided to game my blueprints with the modus 120s because I felt the most comfortable with them which resulted in better dispersion.

Because I first tested with stock DG120, and hit good with stock demo shaft, I bought, but of course went with different shaft, then did not like, more and more I read here and other places, I think anyone going with stock setup would not be to far off from a fine hitting iron. I guess ping setup that way for a reason.
