Currently DFL by 8 shots in Columbus. I went to the tournament today, he walked right past me on 15 on his way to his tee shot that was probably 50 yards right of his target. He looked defeated. It was really uncomfortable.

Same, I honestly keep tabs on him hoping he will find whatever it is he lost and make a big turn around. Crazy to go from PGA tour winner to not being able to break 80 some days. Just goes to show just how golf hard can be.

It’s hard to fathom a guy with his skill struggling this way. Golf is a cruel mistress.

It's Karma at work. Early on he had a group of sponsor/investors centered out of Birmingham that put up money to get him going. After his early success he told the group to go screw themselves, he wasn't honoring any further part of their agreement. The investors made their money back and some, but after that bad-faith jolt the tank-age soon followed.

We couldn't believe it, he absolutely hit a worm burner about 100 yards dead right and one of the players (not sure who) in the group in front of him had to jump to avoid the ball hitting him.

Ok wait a second. I realize I'm not replying to the freshest post here but are you saying SK was hitting into a green on a par 5 from 220 out and nearly hit someone in the group in front of them who clearly weren't even on the green yet? Smells like bullshiat.

I think maybe the guy in the group in front of SK had already teed off on the next hole and was walking up the adjacent fairway. At least that's how I read it.

I read it that the guy was in the same group, but in front of him and off to the side.

He was acting hurt when I saw him at John Deere few months back hit a few into par 3 on practice round. Really stretching out his shoulders and upper back after couple terrible shots

Smylie made the cut at this weeks Australian Open on the number after a first round 75. Followed it up a 2nd round 66 which was tied for the 2nd low round of the day. Good article on his recent struggles. Hope he gets it figured out as Brendon Todd recently did. Tour golf is hard.https://www.golf.com/news/2019/12/05/smylie-kaufman-yearslong-struggle-regain-game-confidence/

Usually when a touring pro goes bad and lose their game it is something small like ball position or being slightly out of sync. IMO....

SK has a scoring average of 77, hard to make it on the tour with that.

Driving Distance 310, all drives 296.....with 41% accuracy. He definitely need to find the fairway more often. IMO

Maybe SK should watch the tape of that 2nd round 66...over and

good luck Sk!
