1st Eagle ladies and gents.

Some friends invited me to play on their home course, my first time there. came across a short par 5 at 495 yards and caught my first eagle!

Hope for many more to come!! Just really excited and wanted to share!

That's a great feeling. A nice well earned and executed eagle. I have 5 or 6 myself but, only one is from 1 putting. The others were off the approach shots or chips. Good feeling, indeed. Keep em comin

Yes, that actually was my driver. I have a few drivers and one has the arccos grip(sensor built in) which is saved as the “driver” on the app and my other drivers I use the screw on sensors saved as “2W”..

 

I only attempted once for a few seconds so I can be wrong, but the arccos app only allows to save 1 sensor per club slot...

3 footer/ flat as can be- I was able to see/sense the hole with my peripheral vision from address and during the whole putt... it was awesome.

Congratulations, those are some great shots to lead up to an eagle. Up until a few weeks ago, I’ve only had 2 eagles in over 10 years of playing. One was a chip in just off the green and the other was a lucky, long putt on a short par 5. I’ve been playing a bit more this year and I had a similar eagle to yours with a finish with a 6 footer, and I had my first “true” holeout from the fairway for an eagle. It was from 84 yards. Since I’ve never had an ace, it’s the most exhilaration I’ve ever felt on the course. Good job on your eagle, more are sure to follow.

Definitely not easy to come by.. my friends who have been golfing a lot longer then me said they never seen a eagle before in person, I agreed.

Yes, I just finished a 8 lesson package and really learned the swing that works for me.

 

I’m still in the process of transferring the new swing to the course and it’s around my 4th time out since I finished the lessons.

 

The first time out I only hit 1 295 ish drives and thought it was a fluke.. then, the number of 295 drives started increasing to 2.

 

this last time I hit 3 drives that far and was able to connect a great 4i shot that landed on the green to follow.

 

I’m hoping to learn to pull this off on every drive by end of year... guess I’ll be that guy on the range that’s looks like he’s brainlessly beating driver lol.

 

This is a great game that keeps me discovering new skills and weaknesses to work on which is a part of the journey I enjoy.

I was 42 when I made my first eagle. Now have 29 of them. Course familiarity and knowledge have been the keys.

 

Hope to reach 30, but at 66 it's a fairly faint hope.
