2019 Big Bertha Irons? Anyone test/buy?

They look very nice. They have been slimmed up some and the black looks great. Wondering if the harshness and loud sound of the 2015 and 2017 models have been addressed?

 

Those 2 were hard and loud.

 

Also, how is the finish holding up?

They felt good. Super easy to hit and for me went super high and stopped fast. I probably would have went with them but ended up going with the PXG 0311xf's

was looking at the PXG and the Ping 410 as well. Had a fitting and the guy handed me these.WOW smooth great feel especially with the Recoil shafts felt as good as the PXG xf to me

So ended up buying the 2019 Big Bertha Irons in 5-SW and the 3 and 4 Big Bertha Hybrids. Absolutely love them. Hitting the irons 10+ yards farther than my old Ping irons with a lot less dispersion. Just have a lot of confidence standing behind these. The hybrids have been incredible out of the gate. Feel great coming off the club, long and straight. Haven't figured out my gaps yet. I think the hybrid 4 may be too long, and might have to adjust the loft higher on both the 3 and 4 hybrids. But overall, a huge fan of the Big Berthas. Almost went with the Mizunos because I didn't want a SGI club, but if it works...

i just got a used 2019 set 4-5 hybrid, 6-A, zt9 regular flex, replaced x-16 pros... i'm 66 a 13 handicap and have lost a step ..' anyway first time out, truly amazing like going from a model T to a Tesla.. kinda babied them for 6 holes, to start not sure how far the ball would go... get to a par 3, 180 uphill i say ok lets hit one see what happens 6 iron center of green, ball flight to die for.. week before i used my 4 hybrid barely got to the front. back 9 find the tempo with the graphite, hit 7 of 9 in regulation way out of my norm, honestly i was giggling it was so easy... drop and stop.... finally 17th hole, buddie had to take a swing, 150 yard par 3, 9 iron first time touching the club, lofts one covering the pin from the second it left and dropped straight down on the flagstick got caught up in the flag 2 inches shoulda gone in... he used to be a teaching pro, turns to me says the best feeling club he ever hit, and i'd have to agree, honestly to me they almost felt like hitting the sweet spot on a persimmon wood . i shot 77 on the day missed 4 birdie putts inside 15 feet, probably because i was in shock.. the hybrids are looong, bye bye 5 wood probably 3 wood too lol... be a SGI snob all u want, i'd rather take the easy to go low. gained 20 yards of usable distance. my golf age has gone from 66 to 35.

I was looking at all the Callaway irons the other day and I thought these were among the best-looking models in their lineup. I liked them more than the Mavrik heads. The Apex MB, Apex Pro and Big Berthas were the ones I preferred looks-wise. The Big Berthas look like they’re easy to hit.

Be wary of the finish on these. I picked up a set off of CPO a few months ago, and they really looked horrible. I'm no anal iron appearance guy, but I really couldn't imagine playing this set, so sent them back. One outing with them, and they were certainly fine and easy to hit, but did not blow me away per se. YMMV.
