[/quote]Bandit Golf in Murrells Inlet was doing some of that dipping because they were powder coating metal woods and irons. But I see that shop had closed up when I went by Sunday. I will look around next week when I get time I am tied up on in laws family business this week

[/quote]I believe that shop has closed up because there was nothing left in the building when I went by and it looked like some guys were painting the exterior and cleaning the interior and he had took his sign down. I do know he has that store in NMB but I dont get that far up that often so I dont know if he is still open there

Those look absolutely incredible. I have a set of J40 heads that I would love to do this to. Have you hit them before and after to see any difference? I am interested to see how they feel now raw. I have always preferred raw wedges.

There's other ways to counteract the loss. Tip weights plus lighter grips, longer shafts, heavier shafts

How good of shape were they in before you stripped them? I have some MP60s with pretty rough faces, no gouges just bad rust, and wondering if this would revive them.

J40s were in great shape

 

If your clubs just have rust that will come off with the chrome removal and sandblasting. If you want to get the dings out you'll want to use something like and angle grinder with 3m pads

Ditto. I have a set of FG17s that have browning. The grooves are a bit worn, but I'm not worried about that...

UPDATE****

Got the set built up and threw in some paint fill. I went really simple because I hate overly complex paint, and the Yellow on the irons match my NDMC's perfectly.

Please excuse my ferrules as my felt band on the sander popped and I haven't turned these bad boys down yet.

Oh and funny story, if you want to speed up the oxidization process on your clubs, put them on an airplane. I guess the temp change from 94* Columbia SC to 18000ft and then back to 96* Sarasota FL produced some condensation that speed up the oxidization!

Opened my hard case the next day to play and had quite the surprise!

They look really good raw. The only thing that sucks is if they get wet the rust rubs off pretty easily and gets all over headcovers, bag, etc. try to keep em dry between shots, I'm too lazy for this so there's rust all over the dividers of my bag
