Phil Mickelson ripped?

What do you think about Phil's beach picture after his recent dramatic weight loss? The Golf Channel headline says "Phil is ripped". Don't get me wrong, I'd love to lose that much weight & look that lean, but I thought he looks more like Tom Hanks in Castaway. Ripped wasn't the word that came to mind.

The bar is lowered with golf when it comes to fitness. Brooks is a linebacker and now Phil is ripped. He is literally just not fat. That's not ripped if you ask me.

no, he is still fat and soft. he has just been starving himself and lost muscle mass so he is a smaller version of fat.

Ripped probably not when compared to the sports world, when compared to his competition, maybe. Got to give Phil credit where credit is due though. He's made alot of changes to his diet and workouts and I commend him for making those changes and sticking with it. Fasting isn't something everyone is capable of doing either. Good on him cause it doesn't get easier after 40.

I have to disagree, Phil is not " fat" I dont think he is ripped but he is far from fat.

I think he could be around 25% there.

 

But, seems like he did it fast. And those types of diets bring backlash.

I just lift and now I have a bike. Lift, eat, ride, eat.

 

Deadlifts and squats today, then just ate chicken cutlets, manicotti, broccoli rabe, bread. Little vino. But then lunch I eat salmon and greens. No carbs.

 

Well, if I need carbs I have a family size box of Cheerios and have a handful or 2 ; )

 

I hope Phil stays trim. He’s on his way.

Phil is as ripped as me when I suck my stomach in for pictures!!

 

Don’t get me wrong, he is definitely a lot leaner than he used to be and I am sure that he is feeling the health benefits of the same but to describe him as ripped just ain’t right.

NO CARBS?? A cup of greens (e.g. spinach) has 1.1 g of carbohydrates. Cant say NO, you must mean LOW. Big difference in that type of consumption.
