Had my first round with the 5.5 yesterday and results were incredible. I was a little put off by the sound at first, but once I started hitting some great putts I didn't mind it.

See I couldn't get over the sound when I was hitting it in the green at a Dicks near me. I opted for a toulon Vegas h7 instead as I preferred the sound and feel to the phantom. Glad it's working for you though!

Agreed - and what the hell is with the yellow headcover? I guess they did that so people would buy the aftermarket silver ones.

I just paintfilled the Phantom X and 5 on the bottom to a black. Looks so good

Debating filling in the sight dots so they are black with the silver ring

No accounting for our tastes. I love my 8.5 green colors, not to mention the performance of it. Tried to love the T22 but it was no go for me. The long sight lines show me how messed up even my short backswing can get as I can see a path as it swings thru. Thought I’d replace it by now but have had much success with it.

Just got my 5.5 with a Stability shaft, hit a few putts a home test run tonight. loving the feel just need to replace the grip with a matador and get the yellow paint in filled :)

Yep I have just got my 5.5 with stability shaft great roll and point and shoot but the noise is abit strange.. surprised they didn't change the acoustics before production

It’s funny. I thought the yellow headcover was the best part. Like good enough to sell as a accessory for other Cameron mallets.

I've had mine for a couple months now (won it in a raffle). I have not noticed a change in the sound.

Just bought a 5.5 today in 34. I did have to have loft bent 2 degrees lower. Rolled so nice after at PGA Superstore. It was a nice shopping experience and the guy helping me was super helpful testing out various putters and making suggestions based on my stroke. I was very surprised I ended up with Phantom X 5.5. I was pretty set going in I wanted a Newport or Evnroll. Came down to Evnroll 2.2 and 5.5. He bent the putter before I even bought it and that sealed the deal.

 

Only gripe would be head over and paint fill do not match. Not too worried about it but OCD lol

I either play a Newport 2018 or a X 5.5. And I like the X5.5 more and more. Make way more putts with less effort.

Anyone have feedback on how the black finish on top of these putters holds up? I’m interested in the X8 model, which is mostly black on top. Somewhat worried that matte black will be prone to scuffs, scratches etc. I do baby my putters, but stuff still happens.

I have had the 8.5 since they first came out and 30+ rounds later it looks like new. I do keep it covered all the time.

Not much of a Scotty fan due to lack of lefty options and I honestly thought these were ugly when they were released. Now that changed a bit when I went and tried out the X7, I found it easy to line up, real stable through my stroke, nice feel off the face and puts a nice roll onto the ball.

 

Now would I buy one? Possibly but not new, if I found a good deal on a used one then sure why not finally add a Scotty to my collection.
