I actually do walk down to get my tee. At lunch not a ton of people at the range but i do get it. What ever floats your boat, the string sounds good.

Drill small hole in said favorite tee.... attach to driver head-cover via fishing line (preferred length). Put head over off to the side when teeing off (far as the fishing line will let you).?

My friend took a small chain and crimped it to his tee. Then crimped the other side to a ball mark repair tool.

 

Works great. No chasing his tee anymore.

since i originally posted this i've seen more and more people struggle with this same problem. i don't have the same speed as berkshire but i literally launch tees 10y+ forward/backward (have stepped it off) and it's a real PITA to have to use a new tee every time or go searching for the tee i just catapulted to god knows where. 

 

i suspect the people who threw shade earlier in this thread either pure the ball like mo norman (never broke a tee in his life, god rest his soul) or swing the d-stick slower than they drive on the interstate. hah. but this is WRX so obviously the latter can't be true. 😜

 

edit to add: or they're the landed gentry and have someone tee every driving range ball up for them 🤷‍♂️

Once saw a guy who had a D battery tied to his tee. First swing he took I hid behind a tree. I had no idea what might happen.  But it held the tee. I offered to pickup his tees for him if he didn’t want to carry a D battery around all day.  But he was proud of his invention.  
 

curious. Are your tees the clear but colored plastic ones .  Nice bright colors.  Blue orange  yellow etc. ?    I play with a guy who uses those and they fly forever.  Makes me question if they don’t create more friction at impact ?  I mean they have to , right ?  Or else how do they fly as far.

Have same issue at my club, strip of artificial turf on the hitting area, tees dont go all the way in and no matter what size you use they go flying. Want to hit 30 drives? Go gather 30 tees.

now we're having the same issue at an indoor facility. tees go flying everywhere. hit other people. get stuck behind a computer against the wall. underneath tables. i plan to get some over this next week. will report back.

It is so funny to see people list the specs of their clubs. When you are playing on Sunday on TV I might be interested. For long drive competitors like me, you wouldn't be able to hit what I swing or understand the specs...and I do like to save tees.

Some of the dribblers are our place tie a piece of ribbon in a bow to their castle tees… ribbon creates drag so they don’t go as far and makes them easier to find… I always chuckle when I find one though…
