Best ball for MY game?

I am a high/high 3HC player currently playing a ProV1. I recently moved to an area that has far softer greens than I am used to. Due to this I am running into huge issues with too much spin on and around the greens. Even a 4 iron I hit into a par 5 spun back 5 feet or so. I’m looking for a ball that will spin less off irons (less off driver would be a bonus) but still retains some spin around the greens and from 85 yards and in. I don’t need to zip it back on any shots but would like to have a ball I can trust to skip and stop if I need to hit a spinner. Looking to grab a box at my local shop today before my round. On my shortlist is:

TP5X

Bridgestone B-RX

AVX

I don’t mind the feel of the ball as long as it performs so no worries on that front. Any opinions from people that have tried these balls? Any ball I am not including that I should?

If you play the same one long enough, you’ll understand how it works for you. Whether it flys higher or lower, holds greens or rolls out, the feel off the club face. Just go buy a box of each and play only those balls until the box is gone and record your thoughts.

Maybe grab another lesson or get on a launch monitor with all of the balls and figure out why your spin is so high because it can be a lot more than just the ball causing it. Though, it’s the cheapest to fix.

How much ball speed off the driver are you willing to give up? Going to something like the Bridgestone BRX or BRXS or Q Star Tour is going to drop the spin about as much as you can while still keeping your trajectory fairly similar. However, if you're swinging over 100MPH with the driver, you're going to be giving up a few MPH of ball speed with the driver. And while they do have good green side spin (especially compared to surlyn balls) you are going to give up a little bit spin on chips and pitches.

I actually saw a sleeve of AVX in the shop yesterday so I ended up trying them out. Played the same ball the whole round and it didn’t show much/any wear so that was impressive, spun less off driver for sure and had just enough spin on approaches. Going to have to get used to new landing spots around the greens as I went into auto-pilot on a few pitches and hit them to where I would hit the ProV1 and the AVX definitely does not check up nearly as much. Ran a few chips by 6 feet or so which is out of character for me. Overall I love the ball just need to get used to the lack of check up around the greens
