New NX9 HD Slope from Precision Pro

I finally used the NX9 HD for a full round yesterday. I was very impressed. It was extremely fast and gave me consistent numbers every time I re-shot the distance. The magnet was the biggest surprise, though. Much more secure than I was expecting. I floored it over some really bumpy cart path sections to see if it would shake loose (probably not wise in retrospect), but it didn’t even budge. At this point I’d have to say I’m very pleased with my purchase.

When are the next batch shipping? They have been pushed back 3 weeks since I ordered one.

Their website says SHIPPING AUGUST 21 (here we are now on the 23rd)

It went from the August 15, to August 21, then to the August 29.

Ordered July 29th and it said next day shipping. Understand it can be pushed out but this continued delay is a bad first impression.

Got mine this morning because I had some issues with my NX7 Slope and I'm sending it back. Two quick comparisons - the NX9 is much heavier. Feels great. Buttons are stiffer, seems like you have to press harder to get a reading. Also, my yardages off my back yard deck to the same targets with both devices, the 9 is 2-3 yards longer. Not a huge deal obviously, most of us aren't good enough to where that matters, but thought it was a little odd.

Used my NX9 for the first time yesterday. Happy with the performance; distances seemed accurate and it was very quick to give reads. Used a cart yesterday (first time in a while) and the magnet feature was great.

 

I do wish the case was a bit smaller as it feels oversized for the NX9; also wish it had a belt loop. Perhaps future improvements?

For those that have used the NX9 and NX7, how much faster is the NX9? I tried the NX7 Pro in GG the other day and was really surprised how slow it was to register the yardage after the jolt confirmation. Especially compared to everything else I tried.

I literally just upgraded. It's definitely faster. How fast do you expect a laser to be though too? I would never have upgraded if I wasn't having issues with my NX7 Pro (which I just bought in June). It wasn't always making reads and customer service said send it back for a new one or gave me the option to upgrade to the NX9, which is what I did. I'm glad I did because the NX9 is much heavier from the magnet and feels more stable. But from the laser reading, sure yes it's faster, but it's not like the NX7 Pro was slow by any means. I would recommend the NX9 due to the weight/feel (the NX7 feels like a paperclip in your hand) and the magnet feature for when you do ride in a cart. I walk 50+ rounds a year, but when I used a cart this past weekend, that magnet feature was super convenient and very sturdy.

I would consider trading in if they have a program to do that. Looked on their website but I do not see anything.
