Did Tiger dump Federer for Nadal?

Yes, I know it's not tour related...but the season is over, right?

I'm watching the US Open today, and Nadal is playing and there is Tiger with son and GF cheering him on...announcer makes some comment about their bromance etc...

Last thing I recall was the Federer/Woods mutual admiration love back around 2008-9...when they were both around 14 majors and they had a total majors "rivalry".

I somehow recall Federer distancing himself from Woods post Thanksgiving...but my memory is fuzzy.

In any case...it will be interesting to watch Tiger should we get the final everyone wants!

I have no idea if Federer is as much of a family as his image is suggests, but I know he distanced himself from Woods after the scandal. It was not something he wanted to be seen as associated with.

Tiger and Rog were counterparts for a while. Both were beloved, both chasing all-time records. Then Tiger got in some trouble, stopped winning, became uh, less beloved. Meanwhile Roger continued to win, became the statistical GOAT, polished his already squeaky clean image even more. They diverged you might say. Roger is kind of the Jack Nicklaus of tennis now.

 

Rafa is the #2 majors winner, struggles with injuries all the time, as well as hair. He sweats a lot too. Him and Tiger seem to have more in common these days. Both hugely popular but somewhat controversial.

If Nadal gets to 20 same a Roger then Nadal is the GOAT, his head to head v roger is so much better

 

However I have a feeling that Dork will surpass them both. Really dislike Dork, but if he wins more majors than Nadal and or roger........
