I wouldnt be surprised if they outsource SOME Part of the...the labor, etc.

The course is only open for like 5-6 months a year....

All golf clubs contract out for certain things especially a club like AN that's only operating half the year at most.

And apparently because you want your friend to be wrong, lol.

No reason for it to be a secret.

He shouldn't divulge it. AN is very (overly) sensitive to people throwing their name out and being associated with them. They've canned members for stuff like that.

LOL, I'm sure if the company has some non-disclosure agreement then it won't be disclosed, and maybe they aren't allowed to use AN in any advertising, but otherwise their trucks don't go in through a secret tunnel.

If OP won't say the name of the company but expects us to definitely know whether AN hires outside people because he won't take his "friend's" word for it then this is all kind of silly.

Nice article. The couple of times I was there to see the Masters, it was amazing. I can't think of another place where you can walk into the trees - 30 yards in - and find the trees in deep were manicured too.

Agreed.

Likely cross-referencing WRX names with draw entries. No wonder I never get picked.

ANGC has its own maintenance staff to deal with the day to day operation of the golf course, however, they do bring in an agronomy team in preparation for the tournament. Marsh Benson was the famous superintendent at ANGC for a long time until he retired a few years ago. There are also several other 3rd party companies that they deal with in order to maintenance specific items on the course or build new structures (i.e. SubAir Systems Company or Massana Construction). So to answer the OP's question, no, ANGC does not do "ALL" of the course maintenance, but they do the vast majority of it. Chances are the OP's friend's brother's company is one of these numerous 3rd party companies that is hired by AGNC to help with the maintenance.

Hawk, funny you should say that because AN announced they are planning to build a service entrance by tunneling under Washington Road. Not sure about the timing of it, but the club owns a large open area where an apartment complex used to stand on the other side of Washington Road about a half mile or so towards downtown from the main entrance.

He's spot on. Although it's my understanding that they are doing more and more of the design and work in-house than in the past.
