Not hitting the ball on the sweet spot and leaving it short because of distance loss.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

Stroke feels effortless. Breathing and tempo is great. Body and hands working well together. Always hitting the lines I want, with the odd miss read on the break. Firm and solid on short putts never in doubt that I'll blow it past the hole. For me strong putting just brings out the best in all my game. Feel like the up and down from anywhere is possible.

What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

Distance control becomes a huge issue. The dreaded 3 putts becomes a reality. Missing everything inside 5 feet. Frustrated with it and can't seem to let it go. Feel like there is no tempo to my game. Feeling like I am too quick and jagged with the stroke. Nothing I try seems to correct it.

3) What is your handicap? 8.

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well? Like I can make anything from anywhere on the green. Distance control is spot on. I’m hitting putts flush and the ball is rolling true.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly? Overthinking. Trying to be too concise when lining putts up and be too perfect with contact and trying to hit it square.

3) What is your handicap? 1.6

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

When I’m putting well, it feels like I’m putting into a gallon can... like I’m really confident standing over any putt.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

My biggest challenge when I’m putting poorly, is feel and confidence. I’m switching through a lot of different putters right now. Trying to find the right fit. Blade, mallet, toe-hang, face-balanced, etc... so, your L.A.B. Putter looks like it could fix all my worries.

3) What is your handicap?

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

When I am putting well my body feels centered over the ball with a great pendulum motion that starts the ball on the exact line I intended to. But, the biggest thing is when I am putting well it gives me a boost of confidence that positively affects all parts of my game.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

When putting poorly, I struggle to trust myself and have the confidence to realize that I am prepared to make the putt. This translates in my hands getting a little wristy and mishitting the putt either very short or blowing it past the hole.

3) What is your handicap?

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

Matching pace to lines really well, near misses and some going in, no crazy come-backers. My stroke doesnt feel like im thinking technically at all, very comfortable over the ball.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

Mismatched line and speed, pick a good line, hit it with absolutely the wrong speed, or vice versa. Secondly, just pushing and pulling shorter putts, that might be the worst to be honest. Or lastly, the worst feeling is when you're simply just uncomfortable over everything.

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

It feels like I might make it to Vegas for MSOP - Major Series of Putting! Vegas, Baby, VEGAS!!!

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

Keeping the face square at impact & stop thinking about stealing my son’s DirectedForce putter.

3) What is your handicap?

14.1 in regular golf (under par in MSOP putting tournaments!)

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

stroke feels "free" - as in good rhythm and smooth acceleration thru the ball. I'm not really thinking about my stroke at all, just speed and line.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

mishit putts - i.e. inconsistent contact/distance. Usually it's a tweak in stance/setup, but almost always poor rhythm. I take putter back too slow/deliberately and feel like I have to "force" acceleration thru the ball.

3) What is your handicap?

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

When I am putting well I feel like I can visualize the line and I just rock my shoulders and focus where the put enters the hole.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

When I am putting poorly I struggle with face alignment and stroke consistency. I tend to line up with the face closed and hit putts on the toe when I am struggling.

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

Confidence. A big part of a successful putting round for me is controlling the speed.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

Tempo. I can get quick which leads to poor strokes.

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

I used to feel that I can make anything inside 20 feet range when I was a good putter before my putting stroke went south in year 2000/2001.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

Trying to get my putts online inside 10 feet, that is my biggest problem even though rest of my game is good. I know if I can achieve getting my shorter putts rolling online, I would've done much better in my tournaments. I still won few anyway. I have heard of Directed Force but I still have not seen a putter in person yet as I live in middle of midwest nowheresville.

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

It really feels like shooting pool. You know the ball is going to go RIGHT THERE and you can control how fast or quick it gets there. TOTAL CONTROL of the ball, point & shoot.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

Rebuilding the trust of speed and line. This can be bad mind, bad read or just a bad contact, missing the middle of the putter face

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

**•It feels like the hole is 10" and every putt has a chance to go in.**

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

**•Distance control. I can usually read the lines pretty well but the pace is off, which doesn't inspire confidence when you don't know if the ball is going long or short.**

The Questions

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

Rarely this happens to me as I usually do poorly with putting. I have recently purchased 33” Cleveland TFI Eldorado putter with SS counterbalance grip, which has given me improved consistency and confidence. Hopefully with more practice I get to feel like I am putting well!

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

I think the biggest challenge is thoughts of not being able to break 100 after missing many short putts.

The Questions

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

It feels great! What causes my good putting? For me, It starts with good acceleration and the ability to keep my body still. When I do both these things, I find it very easy to keep the face square and hit my envisioned line.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

I struggle with accelerating through the ball. A forward press sometimes solves this problem but I struggle with over exaggerating the forwardness.

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well? - I can see the line on the green from my ball to the cup with whatever break is needed. I then just feel the speed. It's almost automatic.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly? - Looking at my scorecard. That and I can't see the line and my hands don't have any feel.

3) What is your handicap? - 16

1) When putting well it feels as though the putter is swinging itself and the takeaway is smooth and on path

2) When putting poorly my biggest hurdle is my feet being closed to the path and my shoulders being square to slightly open

1. When putting well, I don’t have to think about anything. My stroke gets the ball on the line I see.

2. I tend to pull putts as my miss. At that point I get mechanical and my stroke is not fluid and I’m often trying to steer the putter vs. stroking it.

3. Handicap is a 2.1.

**1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well? When I’m putting well I don’t have any mechanical thoughts it’s all feel. I look at the hole and feel the distance in my 2 or 3 practice strokes. I feel like the putting line just pops out to me when I have it going and I don’t have to work to hard for my reads.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly? I would say trusting my read inside 6 feet. I rarely get handsy with my stroke since I putt LHL but when I’m not rolling it so great I just don’t have that same belief that it’s going to start on my intended line.

1) What does it feel like when you’re putting well?

When i am putting well I can visualize the ball rolling along the line I picked and right into the hole. My tempo is smooth and almost effortless and over the ball my mind is quiet and I have no thoughts, just my visual of the ball rolling in the hole.

2) What is the biggest challenge when you’re putting poorly?

I struggle to hit my line when I am putting poorly, both left and right. I also have lots of thoughts going on int my head.
