Aldila Rogue Silver shaft broke - not sure what to do

My shaft broke on my M1 - TM won’t replace it. Is it salvageable?

hard to tell from the pics...is it just separated from the adapter...? or is it a clean cut ?

If you got the shaft from TM, then you've run out of parallel tip section and the shaft is toast. They tipped it 1" and you just broke off at least another 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" so there is not enough of the parallel tip section left to use.

 

If the shaft didn't come from TM and if it wasn't tipped at all before installing into the adapter, then it may be possible to clean up the tip and adapter and reinstall the adapter (or a new one). It will play noticeably stiffer than it did before (as well as shorter unless you use an extension too). Whether that stiffer feel will cause problems or not is a question only you can answer.

For your driver it will be. You can find the Rogue Silver for a decent price on ebay and get a new adapter as well if you like the combo. I know my local Golf Galaxy charges $10 to install a shaft into an adapter.

 

Or you could just find a Rogue shaft with the adapter already installed.

What is TM's reason for not repairing/replacing? Are they saying it's too old and out of warranty?

I'm sure. It's almost a 3 year old driver now.
