I don't know. I am on their mailing list. I get an e-mail about the release, click on it immediately, and they're already sold out by that point.

They must be offering them to collectors or something before they even post them online. I know some people were upset with Betti a while back because they were supposedly prioritizing the Asian market, maybe it has something to do with that. I'm just guessing obviously.

As mentioned 10 CST. They do sent out an email reminder about an hour before and they sell out quick so you have to be on top of it. Or you can just go visit the Hive and have them make you a custom one or choose from their vault. I visited and it was a great experience and got one of their custom skulls and bones putter from the vault.

Their hive putters are so nice, but way out of my price range. I should start putting my skins winning aside and start a putter fund.

Now that I'm thinking about it, do people game these Hive putters or do they just collect them?

Uh...if you're winning skins now why would you want a different putter??

The Betti Facebook page said there is going to be a release this coming Tuesday.

They do Hive releases on Tuesday during major weeks. Since the PGA is next week, that makes sense.

Any tips to how to be successful? Is it a sniper program or something you use ? I literally click on a putter and before you can checkout it’s gone. Every time. Granted each release doesn’t include a stick I want. But for instance the longneck half moon or QB 6 with a fit face is hard to find. Each time they pop up. Poof. Gone in seconds.

Thank you for inquiring about the Hive here! The typical release schedule for Hive/Tour putters is every two weeks. Often times, Major themed releases take place on Tuesday's before the tournament starts. We also have themed holiday releases and rare limited/surprise releases that pop up from time to time. Also released in the Hive are the four limited-run putters and themed products, i.e., the Tiki, a special Military inspired putter over Memorial Day, a Summer and Fall themed release.

Staying in the know: Follow @BettinardiGolf on Social Media! Especially Instagram/Instagram Stories for secret pop-up releases at any time! Subscribe to our e-mail newsletter for Hive release alerts 1 hour before release time.

*The Hive is first come, first served and are our most limited, rare, Tour only putters and product, and the demand is extremely high which often leads to items selling out very quickly! Our Hive concierge is always here to help with questions and or helping locate a similar putter through our custom putters program as well if you find you're not lucky in attaining a Bettinardi Hive putter on a release day.

Check their Instagram in the week prior to the release. They show everything that they will have available in the Hive. If you log in at 10 a.m. central you should be able to quickly scoop up anything you want. At 10:05 that might not be the case. The 4 putters they had this week were available for awhile after the release - maybe till 10:30ish.

I guess that’s why I feel so behind. I’m not a Twitter , facebooker or instagram chatter. I’ll try to check Instagram from now on if it will let me look. I much prefer the releases with variety. Today’s with all the same theme , options etc just didn’t do it for me. But hey. Different strokes as they say.

I only joined Instagram to get access to various golf-related limited release items. I don't follow anything else on there or post much at all except for whatever I was able to get during a limited release.

Compared to other limited run releases, the non-major Hive items are pretty easy to get if you're on the site at 10am. They don't sell out in seconds or nanoseconds like some other places. The sub $1k putters do tend to sell pretty quickly, but it's nice they have putters in that price range.

Following Bettinardi is what finally got me to join Instagram (still not Twitter though). However, realized there is a lot of other great golf stuff on Instagram so glad I did.

You should sign up - Bettinardi is great about posting in advance of releases - you will get to see a bunch of previews of what is coming.

Trying to holdout. Somehow I feel like being one of the few souls not ever owned by Zuckerburg might come in handy one day. Lol.

In all seriousness. I’m kind of done there. Last time I tried to buy a betti custom. I called. Got someone in the shop who instructed me to call tour stock putters. I did. Called and within 3 days something happened and that guy was booted or something and shut down. I didn’t buy then and I had $2500 burning a hole in my pocket then. Similar this time. Hawking the hive release and two times all sold in seconds. Then this week they release some uglies that don’t sell out after 3 hours. Just doesn’t seem meant to be. It’s a shame because I love the headcover releases and looks of the work etc. I’ve owned several tour stock sticks. Just never the perfect one and always second handed. Buying a new one has been quite difficult. And I really have no idea why .

Sorry to hear about your past efforts - sounds like bad timing when they were moving away from having a third party distributor to direct sells and things got a bit confused. My experiences only go back about 16 months and have been first rate in every way - both in person (fittings and visits) and through email. What they can achieve with a custom is first rate and will blow you away for sure. If you still have $2500 to spend, send an email or fill out the contact form under the customs page on their website and I bet they will be in touch pretty quickly. The online releases for putters are like catching lightening in a bottle as many of the putters usually sell out in seconds. If you can visit in person that is even better as they typically have a few dozen beautiful Hive putters available to see in person and purchase.
