New wedge set-up

I’ve decided to drop my 64* as I’ve literally used it fewer than ten times this year. Magical club but given there are only 14 spaces in my bag, I’m going down to PW-UW-54-60 instead of PW-UW-54-58-64.

 

So, I’m replacing my RTX4 with a CBX2 with graphite shaft, and my 58* MD4 with a new 60* MD5 Jaws 60/08 W Low Bounce with the standard steel.

 

I use the 54* for a lot of full and pitch shots from 90-30y and think the CBX2 will be a better transition from my graphite Ping irons. The MD5 will be used as a last resort, which is usually about 4 or 5 times per round.

Seems like a logical decision... only need so many wedges in a bag... I've never carried past a 60 degree, though!

I'm working on a bag rebuild, and trying to figure out what I want to do... I'm thinking 54 for general around the green stuff, and a 58 I can open and hit out the sand.

 

My PW and 50 degree are set, but I've mostly abandoned both for around the green stuff.

Neither of the 54 or 58 will be used much around the green, unless necessary. Tend to use 9 Iron or PW for much of that and get them rolling. Obviously that can’t always happen and the ball needs to be flown to the pin.
