Ordered two pair of Darn Tough tactical and wore one for 18 yesterday. I already had a blister on my toe from the previous day, but the darn toughs were great, blister stayed quiet throughout the round. I’m sold.

It was hard for me to pull the trigger on kentwool at first because of the cost, but I love them. I bought a few pair this past winter to wear on the cold mornings to keep my toes warm. I have bought several more for the summer. The best thing is my golf shoes no longer smell after playing a round in 100 degree heat. It is a amazing.

I'm a big fan of Mack Weldon's AIRKNITx socks. These socks last a long time, are comfortable as hell, and provide great support; they also don't get soaked when playing 18 in the Houston humidity.

I also only wear stance. Any of their performance socks are extremely nice and comfortable, not just the golf ones. A lot of times you can find these at TJ Maxx or Marshals.

I love Darn Tough wool socks. I’m slowly replacing all my old pairs with them. They regulate moisture so well - at the end of a round my feet are completely comfortable.

They do have lots of different cushion/thickness options, so once you figure out your preference, you can’t go wrong.

Have some Kentwool, Smartwool, and Darn Tough, all wool socks (my preferred fiber). Darn Tough the best among them based on a limited sample. Cushion/comfort, blister prevention and sweat management all top notch.

Bombas golf socks! The Kentwool get too hot here in the south. The Bombas golf socks have saved me many blisters too as the have extra padding on the bottom and in the heel. They have made my previous socks obsolete.

Not for golf, but looking at some of the stance no shows for casual wear, as most reviews say that stay put.

The super invisibles always stay put and they seem to last forever... They are basically the only socks i wear from May - October

Hands down, the best prevention for blisters isn't one brand of sock, or even one type of sock. It's two.

I've played competitive tennis all my life and golf has nothing on tennis for blister raising potential. A trick I learned many years ago is to wear an ultra thin sock as a first layer, then a regular sock on top. This will allow the two layers to move a bit relative to each other and not pull on your skin.

 

This is way better than tape and far superior to any single sock approach. The trick, of course, is finding the ultra thin sock and not having too thick of a top sock so the shoe still fits comfortably.

Stance are very well made. For ankle socks, what are great are cycling socks. Very well made and thinner, which increases comfort.
