Hoping my holding off on rb's for marlon mack and austin ekelar pay off. More and more players seem to bne actually holding out for contracts for lenghty amounts of missed game time so crossing my fingers that Gordon has no desire to come back.

Rough week for injuries. Ben, Brees, and now Cam. Anyone heard anything about Connor in Pitt or Damien Williams in KC?

Samuels is available in 1 of my leagues and I may target him if Connor is dinged up.

They said Connor will be alright - might be worth picking up Samuels though. Without a QB might end up hurting Connor, similar to how Bell is gonna get killed with screen passes with the Jets.

I can't believe I won last week with Ben going down with only 3 points. Julio Jones saved me against an opponent that had a bad day as well. I've got Bridgewater and Stafford on waiver claims. Might be a rough season if I can't find a QB. I hate to trade away good players for one

Despite losing Ben and Hunter Henry (dropped him as initially it was season ending then missed him coming back), my team ended in 3rd going into playoffs..... Was hovering near top spot for a while but lost the last two weeks with Julio being ruled out late on Thanksgiving and Jacobs being ruled out after the start of the early games this past week.

The real annoying thing is we had a guy in the league who seemed to constantly forget to update/set his lineup. The most devastating one was week 9 when he failed to play a kicker. That gave the regular season prize ($200) to the guy who should really be in second and puts me playing the guy who should've been in first who has scored over 200 points more than anyone else in the league. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be alright

I've been hounding my league commissioner about this sort of thing. If people are putting in money, the least a league can do is have a "must try" system. Other guys in my league have started injured players and basically thrown wins to the higher seeds. 2 or 3 in the 12-team league probably haven't made a single waiver wire transaction this year, or years past.

I'm #3 seed in my playoffs starting this week, and clenching my butt. Mark Andrews is a must-bench but thankfully I have Darren Waller to fall back on. I lost Mike Evans and Devante Parker is doubtful, which means I have to ride Lamar, Mostert, and Aaron Jones (who tf knows what he'll do) into the finals. I'd love to flex Joe Mixon but he's a one man offense against New England. The Bengals might not even find the endzone this weekend.

James Conner was overvalued this year, and I feel like 2019 more than ever emphasizes: just because a player is on a terrible team, doesn't mean they are not relevant in fantasy football.

what I can't understand is Yahoo's default regular season tie-breaker. 8 man league and me and another tied for 4th place. he's ahead of my by points but i beat him twice this season and i'm knocked out of the playoffs with the #5 spot.

another league I got first round BYE but i'm not confident in my team at all. I'll be lucky to win.

Yahoo needs to update their tiebreaker choices. I'm glad they finally allowed playoff reseeding. Problem is I'm the 6 seed and got through last week in one league, and am still playing the 2 seed - whereas the 1 seed had about the softest schedule in history to get his spot. We didn't want to change the rules midseason.

On the other topic, in the league I run I always review the rosters before the early kickoff and we have a must fill/start rule. I text anyone who has open spots and remind them to set their roster. Once or twice over all the years I've had to go into another teams roster and do it. Only place we have problems then are late games if someone scratches and no-one has a roster replacement. So I would talk to your commish about being more proactive with dead teams.

Ended up winning my first championship in a 12 man league yesterday!! Was busy in the morning and didnt get a chance to check my roster until about 2:00, which is when I realized I didnt replace the injured Henry in my lineup. So even with a RB getting 0 points I was able to win handily thanks to Michael Thomas and Julio Jones.

Congrats! My WRs let me down in one league yesterday, so unless Aaron Jones goes for 4 TDs again tonight, I'm heading for 2nd place in one leave. Flamed out in the league I run and wound up in 5th. odd man out 7th again in another, and I'm going to trim that league next year. May or may not trim another.

So yeah - the one guys failure to start a kicker in week 9 swung our league dramatically. If he had started the kicker, team A would've won first place regular season and beat me in the championship to take $600 total. Instead, someone else won the reg season, team A beat me in the first round and he lost the championship and gets $0. I finished 3rd.

At the end of the day it was an honest mistake. He dropped his starting kicker from the previous week and for some reason had two on the roster. He simply forgot to make the change. Still sucks.... I do think next year we'll have more oversight.
