I don't really notice all player's drivers, but the ones that I usually pay attention to are the ones that hit it farther than me :) They all seem to be sporting M5's.

I'm probably going to get kicked off the board for this, and I mean no offense to those of us among us who are gear heads, but, I almost never notice what clubs other guys I play with are playing.

 

I am likely to notice what brand of bag they are playing though.

 

That said, I myself play a Callaway XR Driver. I think it's the regular XR not the XR16.

I tend to notice Titleist and TMs.

Circa 2016-17, it was the Callaway XR16 and XR16 Tour. Everyone was getting them, men and women. Both the head pro and director of instruction are Callaway guys, and make sure members get to hit all the prototypes.

 

Things got fragmented, however, when the multi-flavored Epic and Rogue families arrived. With the Epic $500 + price tag and quirkly model variants, people began thinking about other brands.

Last year's G400 or 400max are the dominant one among the newer models. A few Epics.

Drivers are about the only club I notice that others play besides putters. My curiosity is piqued by good sounding ones.

Starting to see Epic Flash's around a bit and a few TM whatever's...(M4,5,6 whatever's. I can't keep track and they all look the same)

From what I've observed, Callaway is top brand, then TM. I don't pay whole lot of attention to specific models, but those two brands are likely in 75% of people I've played with bags.

The two pros at my course are Titleist and Mizuno guys and I see a lot of each brand's irons among the better and/or younger players.

 

But I almost never see anyone with a driver from either company. Taylormade is by far the leader with Callaway second and no other brand representing even 10% of the drivers I see on a typical weekend. So whatever causes TM (and to an extent Callaway) to be popular it isn't about sponsorship on the local level. Don't know of any local club pros who are Taylormade guys.

75+% of what I see are Ping's (G30-G410), Callaway (Rogue, Epic, Flash, etc), or TM M's.

But in my group, 3 play Cobras (2 Biocell, 1 Fly-Z) and one plays Titleist (917D).

All over the board where i play, lots of older drivers though across all of the brands. But...everyone knows that people using Titleist are playas!! ;)

I play Ping, but I would say our course is completely dominated by Taylormade.

 

Our club carries Callaway but most of the drivers are TM.

I'd say probably close to 80% are Callaway Rogue/Epic Flash or TM M-series. Occasional Ping, Titleist. One guy games a Tommy Armour.

Hands down, Taylormade. Ever since the RBZ introduction to the recent M series. Good players, average players and the seniors......... just about any category of the golfers.

I had tried them, not overly impressed, because the lighter overall weight felt uncomfortable and not a huge improvement over my current driver ( 7 years old now ).

My club has mostly 55+ year old members. For some reason, it seems like they all got together and they all bought the Taylormade RocketBallz white driver. I know at least 10 guys have it at my place.

As far as manufacture, definitely Taylormade. Some of the better players have M series drivers, 2016 and 2017 M2 seems to pop up a lot, some M3's. Nothing newer than that, though.

Still a lot of g400 and Rogue variants amongst regular "better" players in my area, with g410 and Epic Flash gradually being adopted as competitive season winds down.

Amongst the Senior crowd, there's a whole grouping of 8-12 that all still play/hoard various r7 models.

Based a quick read through, it looks like the Callaway Epic Flash of the newer models is the most noticed at their home courses.

At my home club, Ping (G30 through G410) is by far the most common driver you'll see in members' bags.

Most better players seem to have a TM M series varient, but overall Ping G's rule.

I'd say the G400 Max is still the most played driver on my course. Am seeing quite a few F9's now though.

Would probably have to be older model TaylorMade followed by Callaway. Rarely do I see Titleist woods. Haven't recalled seeing many Ping woods either. Quite frankly I don't look too much though.
