***ATTENTION***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***ATTENTION***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT***ATTENTION

Last year, in an effort to improve the capability of our forums, we switched to new software. We expected tremendous scalability and rapid customization that would significantly improve each Member's experience across multiple devices and integrate flawlessly with social media platforms.

Unfortunately, after a significant capital expense, we have decided that the length of time and the additional cost to reach our goals make this enterprise untenable.

Thus, we have made the difficult decision to transition the forums to our original software platform. We’re excited that, in the nearly two years since we began the process of our most recent switch, our original platform has been upgraded significantly, and we are confident that the reversion will not only provide the stability that we desperately needed prior to our last move but will also return to the Membership the high level of customization that made our online community so great. We have also added technical resources to the GolfWRX staff that will allow us to build custom modules and modifications that we are confident will take the forums to the next level.

We remain the world's largest online golf community, and we still hold true to our core values and mission statement as written in 2005. Bearing both of those elements in mind, being the best and offering our Members a platform that is world-class are both requirements, not options, and it is that spirit that has motivated this decision.

So, please pardon our mess over the next five days or so while we transition the forums.

A few important notes: Current content will be accessible during that time, but the forums will be READ ONLY, and you will not be able to start new threads or reply to posts. Personal Messaging is enabled but PMs sent/received from the time the board was frozen will not carry over. We know this is inconvenient, and we apologize, and we greatly appreciate GolfWRXers bearing with us through the transition.

We are very excited about starting this next chapter for GolfWRX and getting back to the high-quality Member experience we all expect as soon as possible.

Anyone have any insight on the change of feel with a new finish. Looking at the sniper grey but I’m worried about the finish changing the overall feel?

Relating to the sniper grey, have a playing partner that uses a Newport oval track that was done in that finish by them, and it rolls and feels as good as any putter I have tested, those that know me understand I don't make those kinds of statements lightly.
Have a '95 Cameron Laguna that was refinished by the guys @ Continental in their matte black cerakote and feel remains as soft and solid as before being done. Bonus, can use putter in varied conditions without maintenance concerns of pitting or rusting. I am quite particular about my clubs, and would highly recommend their work.

On -, @plt It will be off per metal wood or per putter we refinish. Thanks!

On -, @CHines14 We haven't heard of any customers saying it has changed the feel of the putter one way or another very much.

Thanks everyone and please let me know if you have any other questions.

Do you know if the light blue area on the bottom of a Ping Sigma 2 Putter can be refinished in a different color ? Ping calls the material pebax

I’d like to send my Tyne putter to have it refinished but only if the color on the pebax can be changed.

Pebax is a plastic, commonly used in ski boots so the colour is part of the material rather than a surface finish, it can probably be painted over but I don't know how well that would work long term.

I'm contemplating getting my 2 ball fang putter done. Couple questions....

What's the difference between black armor and the other shades like matte and satin

Also, can this be done (the whole putter head black) while keeping the 2 balls part white? Thanks

@Flyers99 We can and do spray shafts all the time. I had it done to my putter shaft and haven't had any issues with mine at all. Nice thing is we can just do it to your current shaft (remove your grip and install it most cases).

@MRaines25 We don't any refinishing of irons that are plated but we can do the FT Tour Driver no issues at all. Feel free to message me and we can discuss anything you want done to it no problem.

I used Continental to refinish two of my putters recently, my gamer then an old teryllium. Both were beat to pieces. I've used the regular Newport two whatever-year-model-it-is for ten years give or take. They did an absolutely phenomenal job. Much better price too than what you'd pay Scotty. They did good work and did it quickly. I highly recommend them if you need to have work done.

Hey Continental Golf, got an account just cause of your guys work. Bought myself a brand spanking new Cobra F9 yellow recently. First outing to the range I caught the first 2 balls a little higher on the face, I'll call it nerves/excitement over the new toy. At the end of the session I noticed the smallest little scratch just where the face meets the crown. Was toying with the idea of trying to buff it out myself but I think it's too deep for that. Would you guys be able to get that fixed up in the original scheme for me? You can't really see it at address but I have OCD with these things and it's my first brand new club in a while, kicking myself for it. Thanks for the feedback, great work from you guys. I can post some pictures a bit later.
