Here's what irks me about golf....

Besides slow play....LOL! Touring Pro Tony Finau recently stated that he was traveling the globe as a world class player and that he was adjusting his schedule to concentrate on the Major Tournaments....Finau has two Professional wins and one of those wins is the Puerto Rico Open. Hey Tony! how 'bout getting to five tour wins first......But I digress! Maybe he's rich enough to concentrate on just the majors...

What about golf instruction!?! It need to be regulated. To much contradiction. I think it need to come with a money back guarantee.....LOL! Just a couple of things that iks me...

i think his new game is more suited for majors than regular tourneys. He's not a birdie machine. He's contented in majors quite a bit lately. Point taken though. it's not the money. He has plenty of it already. HE's from a humble background so seeing 10 mil in your account is golden. You want him to see 50 Mil first?

I hear what your saying about Finau, but he's played well in them: 3 top5, 5 top 10 in the last 8 Majors. Possibly he feels like he has a legit shot at one (or more) and wants to maximize his schedule so that he's not worn out, seeming as though they are now a bit more condensed. For a professional player I bet it's nice to have enough status on tour to be able to arrange your schedule the way you want it. That said, if you stop winning you could lose that status, so you better be careful.

You are 100% right but as soon as I hear that, it rubs me the wrong way....How'd that work out the year before and the year before that?

“One of those wins is the Puerto Rico Open” as if that is the lesser win of his two?! Haha.

Did he employ that strategy those years? I have no idea. But he is identifying a trend supported by results, at least for the moment.

I bet he won more finishing second to Xander than he got for winning the PRO.

No...…...I want him to see five wins first. One major does not elevate my opinion of any golfer. For example: Rich Beem is still Rich Beem...LOL!

If you look at the Majors as the Championship events in golf, and I imagine all the pros do, then this makes sense. And now, with the majors taking place in a span of just over 4 months, it follows that players would plan so that they can be at their best during an intense, short period of time, rather than looking at the season as a long distance event.

If you look at BKs success in Majors and his alluding to other events of not being much interest to him, that thinking may be followed by the rest of the tour. Unfortunate if it's at the expense of regular events.

Absolutely not! Sorry I came off that way.....I don't know what his other win was so I'm certainly not belittling the PRO ..but I do think that it was an opposite field event....please correct me if I'm wrong....I'm sure you will...

His other win was on the Web.com tour.

If Tony can keep raking in the cash and staying in the top 50 of the OWGR without a win, more power to him. He can be the next CHIII.

And that is exactly what irks me....try setting your schedule to win the John Deere. Winning promotes winning ….IMO

I knew this nonsense was coming so my response to this is: What irks me is people that have nothing to add to any conversation but can't help themselves from being annoying in other posters threads......now that you've gotten the attention that you seek ….Carry on!

Tiger said something about it, can't remember the exact quote. But he said it's different now than back when you meticulously played each event and now you just bomb it as far as you can and hope you have a great week with the putter. Something like that.

And there is nothing wrong with that! You can have a very lucrative career on the Pga Tour by being in the top ten every week......Like CHIII.

So Tony Finau irks you, I irk you...at least I'm in good company. You should be less easily irked, it must be exhausting.

Carry on!
