New driver and shaft advice on new driver...

comparsion on G5, HiBore, SQ, J33r, r7 425tp/460

Currently, i am using a r7 quad TP 9.5 w/diamana blue 83x X-stiff shaft, loved the feel vs. the aftermarket 757 speeder x-stiff.. but i think it is time for me to get a longer and more forgiveness club in my bag.. my current swing speed is around 110-115 and i do hit the ball pretty dang high.. :) please provide some recommendation on heads and shaft...

Best thing to do is demo, demo, demo...... Hit everything you like and narrow it down to get fitted for loft/shaft combo on a launch monitor.

Definitely demo--outdoors on a launch monitor if possible, but definitely outdoors so you can see what the ball does. You'd be amazed at what works best for you!

What should one be looking at on a Launch Monitor for driving numbers? Is the general rule of printed swingspeed for flex accurate? Can you get an R7 or any other major OEM off the rack with a shorter shaft instead of the one currently in it?

I thought you were gonna assymble your clubs, if that's a fact then get the 1000cc driver head from GOLFSMITH and get an ALDILA NV 65 regular flex.

I was in golftown AGAIN today to get my free swing analysis for being a leaderboard member... went over to the simulator and compared my srixon 506 with the titleist 905r and cleveland hibore.. in their simulator, the titleist 905r was the clear winner distance wise and the srixon and hibore were pretty close.. my ss with the driver is about 105-110... not sure how much of the difference is the shaft though because i hit the x460 pretty well in the simulator with the same shaft too

the exact clubs is used are

srixon i-506 with prolaunch 65s, 10.5 loft

titleist 905r with ys-6 shaft S flex and 10.5 loft

cleveland hibore stock stiff 9.5 loft

I'm jumping back and forth on it. I'm leaning towards component Irons and a factory driver. The main thing I want is a shorter driver, as they are supposed to be easier to handle and I need all of the help I can get. I'm going to talk to my Pro (is that the right term for the person who is teaching you via lessons?) and see what he thinks. I just want to know all of my options before going down that road. I'd call the local stores, but GolfTown is the only one around and I'm not overly trusting of their staff knowledge.

I won't be assembling my own clubs, I'd have a fitter do it for me.

For you free swing analysis, is the analysis done in the simulators or by launch monitors?

Also how do you go about getting the free swing analysis? Is it a free service if you are a leaderboard member?
