My Gen2 Gunboat has changed my game on the green. It just swings itself. I would have never looked at that style, but I was fit for it and it just works.

Still dialing in my Operator Darkness. Love the solid soft feel off the face and feel my distance control is better on fast greens than the lighter Odyssey with face insert for some reason.

 

The Versa alignment on the Odyssey is outstanding so that’s where my adjustment period has mostly been is getting comfortable with my stance and alignment.

 

Other than that it’s a beautiful well made putter with tons of adjustment options and it just swings itself. I just gotta make it go the right direction. ?

I have a bat attack gen 2 and the weight of the putter feels great but i find the insert to play hot. Does anyone else find the same thing?

Did you buy the weight kit? I did and noticed a difference in ball speeds based on the weights I had in my Mustang.

The Gen 2 Bat Attack should be 100% milled... no insert. If it has an insert, its a Gen 1.

Seriously looking into the Lucky "D". Anyone with thoughts on feel of PXG versus Bettinardi Studio Stock (38), Scotty (fastback)?

I recently was up visiting my parents in Seattle for Xmas and went by the new PXG stuido in Bellevue, WA and tried the Closer and was really impressed. Puts a great roll on the ball and the look of their putters are super clean. The Closer is a similar shape to the Scotty Squareback 1.5 but felt a little softer. Definitely put an end over end roll on the ball which I liked.

Really wanting a Gunboat. Love the way the black frames the ball. But how does the black hold up? Looking for you alls thoughts.

I have a Gen 2 which has been played 12 - 15 rounds a month for 6+ months. Kept in headcover while in bag and looks brand new.

Keep the cover on it when not putting and it'll hold up longer than you'll keep it in your bag. Take the cover off at the start of the round and put it back on at the end of the round and I'd assume it'll get destroyed pretty quick.

Gen 2 Gunboat has changed my game. I did a putter fitting in Scottsdale and would have never picked the single bend full size Gunboat. Long time slant neck Spider user. My fitter was spot on and it has made a huge difference in my scores - immediately! My latte era cannot believe how good I am putting and they hate that putter in my hands. I will say I added 10 grams to it after my fitting and it got even better. It’s at 375 grams.

Keep the headcover on it and it’s new looking after lots of rounds.
