Bridgestone 2019/2020 Releases

Does anyone know whether Bridgestone have new releases scheduled for 2019/2020? Wondering whether we will see any new players irons? Maybe even some that they are willing to market and sell??? :o

They are showing significant signs of going SGI, like xxio. Their recent stuff isnt making it into golf bags. I haven't seen a J15 in the wild in a long time, let alone their X-CB stuff. They've been pretty quiet. Have always liked their MB's, so when they do release, please update the thread.

The stuff they have out right now CB MB wise is as good as it gets. All they really need to do is re-release j15, but they rehashed Tourstage TS201s with a god awful giant B logo. It's ugly as sin to look at, is the only problem. Looking down they are nicer than just about anything. Same for wedges, put them in the top two or three on looks and the Ji5 wedges were the nuts. I game a lot of Tourstage, the stuff is just awesome. They just don't want to compete

Saw those on Tourspecgolf. Fingers crossed, but we might see some kind of release this fall for other irons. They may even release the current Tour B X-CB, and the combo blade set, or they may just release something totally new for NA. The reason I say that is because last year they released the HF2's to NA after they had been on the Asian market for about a year. Wouldn't bother me a bit if they did the same this year with the forged CB's.

new wedges are fantastic to look at from address but they totally ruined the back.

issue IVE always had with TS stuff is they are totally boxy. the PW in every set ive ever seen is unplayable .

ohh except for one set of 2004 TS maru mbs, that thins is purity at its highest but t wasn't released for chopchopers , they were made for the man himself.

the retail version were as always ,too much to look at, actually same as Yamaha, srixon, ( except mb 945s and pro 100s!) prgr are slightly easier on the eye bec the offset is smaller, even miura has a super boxy look to them at PW. in fact the only PW that suits the set of iorns ive seen in MB are the yururi, a grind, r7, honma 717 and 727m, epon af tour.

I just struggle with the boxy look

I'm using the first version of the Tour B X-CB at the moment which I really like but i think the J15 CBs are better. I should never have sold those. Foolish.

Would love to hit some J15CBs. When I was researching used irons the J15CBs kept coming up in the convo. Ended up with Srixons as I could find used models I could hit at Roger Dunn. Never saw a used set of J15CBs but wish I had

Bridgestone Australia are still offering new J15cbs in lefty ... https://www.bridgestonegolf.com.au/clubs/

 

They have also recently added the Japanese X-CBs and C-CBPs to the Australian site.

The J15’s are legendary. But I also like some of their stuff on the GI side looks good and almost in the players category. The Tour B X-CBP was a Japanese release that made its way to the U.S. when dealers picked up new old stock. It is the most GI head in the Tour B lineup, but looks smaller than its competitors. This year’s version is a really nice iron that came standard with KBS $Taper shafts. Looks similar to Mizzy Hot Metal, etc.

My guess is they’ll be MIA again. They just don’t seem to have much interest outside of balls....and really, they don’t take much advantage over having Woods on their books.

Great find. Really wish I knew whether bstone is gonna have another lefty release in 2020 or even 2021 before I pulled trigger on a backup set of the ones I already have.

I'll say If there was a brand new rh set of j15cbs id buy em in a heartbeat. My favorite irons ever.

Same here. Though I have a J15 CB set I play now, plus a back up set of heads in pretty decent shape for when these wear out. They are one of the all time greats.

Currently playing the tour b cb, and outside of the cavity not looking as nice at j15 they flat out perform. Have not hit anything that has felt better or given me better performance for my swing. The tad thinner sole and smaller profile look pretty awesome at address. I got over the cavity pretty quickly as soon as I started playing them.

 

The tour b irons are no longer on the website, so hopefully a new release should be coming soon. Really curious to see what's next. The Japan release of the combo set looks unreal.

Could not have said it any better myself. I just picked up a backup set in mint condition as I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find another set. Best iron I have played, hands down.

Bridgestone makes a good club...but it seems like they’re seldom interested in doing so.

I have called twice to see if they are releasing new irons in 2020 with the only response being about the Hf2s . I have been playing the J40cbs since 2012 and then when the J15DPF came out i split my set at the 6 iron with those for some more forgiveness in my long irons . I have been trying out some new irons and a combo set of the MP20s are my top pick as of now. Just don’t want to pull the plug and then Bridgestone drops a new line .
