So far I've gotten 4 practice sessions and 2 rounds worth of testing. To try and keep this as concise as possible I'm focusing testing on a long iron (#4), mid iron (#7) and short iron (#9). And as I said wedges will be later down the road as I only have so much time with the weather changing and kids non stop soccer tourneys.

My personal process in testing is 3 rounds and 4-5 practice sessions. I have 1 more round planned for later this week and then i'm dropping the full review.

It's been interesting to say the least. My hope was that I could find a graphite shaft that performs as good as steel for the sake of my joints. That alone would make me happy.

Just for comparison sake, did you ever try the Fujikura Pro 115i Tour X similar to the ones Pure745 had in his set for a short stint?

I haven't tried them but I've spoken at length with him about those shafts. He liked them for a bit but then when his injury healed he went back to steel. My issue with them and a lot of other graphite offerings has been overall shaft weight. I want my shafts to be 125-130g. I've chased that distance dragon before with lighter iron and wood shafts but it always leads me back to what i'm used to. My dispersion suffers and I tend to lose the club in transition. I've tried UST Recoil 125's but felt a little boardy to me especially in the Xflex range.

Very interested in the full write-up, but the podcast contained a lot of great info. I have arthritis in my wrist and have been contemplating switching to graphite, but haven't found anything that performs well for me (currently game DG X100). It seems like these shafts could be the solution.

J13 is dead on with this thoughts on these shafts. I game Apex MB's with X-1's. Justin would hand me a iron after I hit a shot with my irons to compare. I almost hate to say it, but after trying many shafts and always going back to Tour Issue X1's, these damn MMT shafts are just good!! Each shot I hit, the dispersion WAS better with the MMT. Mitsubishi is really on to something here! I just feel Mitsubishi is the shaft company that all others try and keep up with! I just wish I could source a set of 4-PW MMT to put in my Apex DOT heads that are laying around! Is Steel Dead? :open_mouth:

That’s pretty steep. This is the biggest barrier for the masses to jump into graphite. Cost.

My pleasure and glad to share my experience. Playing with pain is no good and I know a lot of people out there are in the same boat as me. These shafts have been an eye opener and they were specifically designed to perform like a DG X100 but be more efficient in all categories. I would say they hit that mark for sure.
