He is supposed to be getting married some time this month. Perhaps that's the reason for lack of SM.

In comparison to the halcyon days of SB2K16 and 17 days, that whole gang are on awful lot less active on social media.

Is he their number 1 still? I would say Bryson is much more active and successful, plus being more polarizing is a win for them as well.

While social media is arguably a necessity for any celebrity to promote their brand, I cannot see an upside for a traditional celebrity to be actively posting to social media. By "traditional celebrity", I mean someone like an athlete, actor/actress, singer, etc as opposed to someone who made a name for themselves using social media (such as an influencer). By "actively posting", I mean posting things that don't get filtered through a public relations person first.

Everyone will likely do something stupid, say something dumb, or be controversial at some point. There is a high enough chance of those happening with the traditional media (press conferences, interviews, etc) or even while playing (see Sergio Garcia and Bio Kim). No sense increasing the odds of that happening by posting something on social media without any forethought. This is an extreme case, but look at the mess Antonio Brown has created for himself. So far, there has been nothing he's posted on social media that has helped to subside that -- in fact he probably made it so bad that not even the best PR crew could "spin" anything that has been reported by traditional media regardless of the veracity of everything that's been reported about his behavior.

Golfers tend to be held to higher standards than other athletes, too, so the line for them posting something stupid is likely a lot finer than other athletes.

Yeah that’s a big stretch. Guessing op was saying equipment change is coming so he went into hiding until the announcement is made and not taking into account he has slowed down social media activity a lot over the course of this year plus big changes in his personal life

Until we see a massive amount of kids walking around tournaments across the country in Puma driver hats carrying protractors, I don't see how anyone but Rickie could be their #1.

I guess, on course success is not really a thing. My eyeball test says over the past year, Bryson has been more successful than Rick.

Rickie is a anomaly, he has been one of the most marketable guys on tour without winning much.

And he’s had a decent career so far. There are superstars that have fan appeal and a really good or great career and there are others who have the marketability because of hype and even if their career isn’t really good but has some success it carries over.

Well I always thought he was only signed until end of 2019. I know for a fact TaylorMade pushed to get his whole setup but only managed ball and glove deal at the time so is this now the finish of them talks?

In saying that though I was also told TaylorMade was trying to buy cobra. I know he has been with them for 10 years but even his pic of him in the hat says 10 years puma golf no mention of cobra. Puma has been trying to seperate itself from cobra to try and bring in more buisness as they were very much like the TM and Adidas thing where is was one with the other and puma don't like that. Puma want a bigger chunk of the market and I feel that's well deserved personally there a great brand.

Rickie will always be the #1 at puma no ifs or maybe there BUT this was about cobra and if he will be changing across.

As the SB2K crew have gotten older and gotten married or engaged, they have shown less and less of the more intimate side of their lives, which I certainly can't blame them for. Living your life with your significant other and friends is far better than building some brand for somebody in the media or on the internet to spin however they may want.

Apparently was married 10/5, shared the photos today. Looked like a very small gathering
