Stroke Lab putters cut down?

I have a guy that wants me to cut down a Stroke Lab putter for him that is 34" to a 33", and upon pulling grip, notice it is counter balanced. Lopping off an inch though that weight would remove a good portion of the countering weight. Has Anyone heated up the butt end, removed the weight, cut down, and re-epoxy the weight, or cut one and had any issues or complaints from messing up the balance of the putter.

I always was under the assumption that if you took length off you had to add. But I may be totally wrong

I done the same with an Evnroll. They are counterbalance also with a small weight at the butt end of the club. Took the grip off and cut an inch off and stuck the weight back in. The problem I had was I stuck a different grip back on with a different weight too. The Putter wasn’t the same after and wish I just left it alone. The swing weight was off and just didn’t feel the same. Ended up I sold it and bought one at 33”. To be honest those putters are better gripping down and feel great. Looking one myself No7, unreal

You can get a weight kit from Odyssey for the sole weights so it doesn’t appear that they are that bothered about it. Just cut it down and put the weight back in the shaft and if it doesn’t feel perfect to the customer then he/she can get a 20g set to put in the sole.
