After 9, still looking like a 2 player race between JK & DK. Yu Liu, NASA, & SYK inching close enough to be considered dark horse candidates. Brooke’s not having one of her better days; has probably dropped too far off the pace (7 back). JYK slowly creeping back up the leaderboard for a probable top 10 finish after an unusually (by her lofty standards) slow start. Jodi Ewart Shadoff also making a good accounting of herself; currently T7 at -8 with JYK.

Jessica victim of the dreaded lip out of short birdie attempt. Danielle short game magic continues to shine after masterful up & down from bunker. Still tied after 10.

Jess’ short game will be tested after short-siding herself in front bunker on 11. Danielle fails to take advantage...bunkered short right. K. Gilman all alone in 6th one hole in front of final group (-9).

Early day this morning...gonna suck having to sign off after this hole.

Jessica’s 2nd consecutive lip-out leads to dropped shot. Danielle hits yet another clutch bunker shot—saves par...back in the lead heading to the 12th. (411 yd Par 4 - playing as toughest hole today)

(Gotta split after this one)

Nasa with bomb birdie putt on 12...still 4 back.

J. Korda bombs another drive center fairway. Has outside shot at birdie. Danielle’s long iron doesn’t hold the green; just running through back of the green.

Words don’t give justice to Danielle’s recovery game today. Par - Par.

Kang remains one up heading to the 13th. Jess’ putter has gone cold; not impossible, but looking more & more like successful title defense for Danielle.

Brooke appears totally off today...par save, but +3 for the round & now 8 back (-7).

Almost time for GC broadcast at top of the hour.

Feng and Lexi won this year! Ariya has played OK, although nowhere near her last few years. The other three look like they are in trouble (sadly).

It's amazing how easy it is to write someone off in this sport. Ariya just gathered her 10th top 10, 5 of them were top 5's. That ties her for 2nd in top10's with four others, only JYK has more. Even though she did not pull off a win, she had a pretty darn good season.

Lexi managed 1 win, 7 top 10's 6 of them were top 5's including 3 runner ups.

To even consider calling these two "has beens" is ludicrous really. Like I said in a post yesterday, maybe we expect a little to much out of the people. After all they are only humans.

Great win for Danielle in defense of her title. Jessica and her didn't quite have their A games today, and with some of the other players going low, this could have got away from her. Danielle's interview at the award ceremony was a hoot as usual. She said she trusted her short game, and it came in handy.

Jessica didn't make many mistakes, but she simply didn't give herself enough legitimate birdie chances. Solid week, though.

Rough weekend for Brooke. She never got anything going today.

Nice to see Yu have a wonderful round in front of the home crowd to move up into a T3 finish with Nasa and Kristen. Along with Brittany, she's another winless player that keeps knocking on the door.

Lexi runs hot and cold depending on her putter; but it has been extreme recently:

May 30 to July 11: T2, Won, T2, T26, 2nd

July 17 to September 26: T33, Cut, T16, T20, Cut, Solheim, Cut

The last three were really troubling.

We probably have to wait until CME Group Tour Championship to see her again.

Not many people noticed at the time, but Kristen won her first professional tournament at 20 in Japan:
