lol just found this thread after posting on another. I was stating that i haven't found a putter that could kick my 2010 nike method 003 out of the bag... looks like i'm not the only one.

Bringing this thread back. I just got Kevin Chappell’s old gamer. I love how it is fully milled. You can see where they cut and welded the neck and you can see the hand grinding on the bumpers and heel. I am very stoked. THIS is the putter I wanted Nike to release.

I'm a Nike novice and as such struggling figuring out the worth of what I bought today, so I'm turning to you fine folks for help. I bought it with the intention of flipping it because of the price seemed ridiculously low ($40), but now I think I got an even better deal. It's a Method Origin B2-01 with "Rors" stamped on it. I understand that this means it's the Rory McIlroy edition, which was a limited edition? Anyone know how limited? I don't have the headcover, but it's pretty much mint otherwise.

 

The problem with flipping it is that I putted around with it a bit in my living room and LOVE the feel. I mean love love. I've never putted with a Nike putter before, but it feels even better than the Toulon I usually use. Also it seems to sit nice and square and upright (not sure what the lie angle is), which I tend to like.

If you picked up a RORS origin for 40, that was a great deal

it was limited, but not like the 006.

 

Roll that sucker well! And if ya decide to move it, you'll be able to pick up some cash on it as well

Did Nike ever make a blade putter with a line on the top line instead of the flange? Preferably something that feels like the Method Origin I posted about a couple posts ago.

Sure The Nike Method MOD 90.........good luck finding one. Most that have them don't relinquish often.

get one of the naked origins that are floating around

I had a couple that I moved along

Dallas golf sold quite a few of them for a while

they're gone now though, but I betcha quite a few are out there

you can send that for a topline then

My 10 year old son rolls a Method from the Oven and refuses to change putters. He was a putter ho for awhile and kept bouncing between several until he convinced me to cut this down for him and he hasn't changed in over a year. #MethodForever

The strangest thing is he putts 1000 times better with no sight line or dot. Naked putters suit him the best. I asked why and he said he likes to look down and see a clean putter, its calming.

As a lefty, I have always wanted a Mod 90.....do you think if I bought one, a shop could flip the hosel location? The head seems symmetrical outside of the swoosh positioning

100% I recently went with no alignment aid, and it's surprising how it's lessened my nerves, especially on short putts.

Our eyes sometimes fool us and it's always unnerving to think you've hit the "mark" but contact feels less than perfect.

I just picked up a Mod 90 in reasonably good shape on eBay, there are still 4 listed for sale right now, one is pretty ragged out but the other 3 are in excellent condition but were more than I wanted to spend. Putter won't be here for a week or so, can't wait to get it.

So my putter got lost during shipping for a while, finally arrived just in time for a run of crappy, cold weather so this weekend was my first time out with the Mod 90.

I was playing by myself and the course wasn’t crowded so I played two balls and hit almost every putt with both of my putters. My current gamer is a custom fit Edel that I like quite a bit but the results with the Nike were just phenomenal. It didn’t matter whether I putted with it first or second, out of 9 holes (x2 balls) there were only 1 or 2 putts where the Edel “won”. I played the back 9 with just the Nike and was spot on without a three putt.

I played again the following day and even though the greens had just been punched so shorter putts were a nightmare, I still had fantastic distance control. This putter is just awesome for my stroke, so glad I took the leap and bought even though I had never actually tried one before.

Any chance anyone could lend some insight into this flatstick. I took a gamble as I didn't want to miss out on it should it be something special. Serial font looks original to the Oven, but never seen one engraved on the sole. Also a grip that I have never seen.

I don’t know if we have any strict prohibition about offering up trades on here, but I’d like to see if someone with a NP2 shaped Oven (basically the 001 Method), would like to trade for a Newport shaped Oven putter.

I have way too many putters, and as a first step am trying to at least get them all down to one shape and have settled on the NP2.
