Best Putter 2019

Anyone have their opinion of the best putter for 2019? Blade/Mallet/Etc Or has a previous year release beaten any of the new offerings for you?

 

Mine would have to be the Spider X. I have had it in the bag the longest of any putter I have used in the past (8 months in true WRX fashion). Great feel, distance control, balance and weight.

In being used probably Spider X, the Stroke Lab then probably Ping.

 

But based on putting numbers from 2019 the top 10 putters on tour and their putters are:

* Patrick Cantlay - Scotty Cameron GSS Prototype

* Vaughn Taylor - Couldn't find much either Odyssey Versa #7 or #9 also been seen with an Axis1 Tour-B

So back to the post as you've seen the top 10 guys use what work and not the newest thing out there. There are only 2 new putters (Axis1 Rose and PXG) possibly 3 if Taylor is using the Axis1 in competition. But after that it's down to #14 with Rory and the SpiderX.

Nothing in 2019 really performed better than my older stuff, but that's been true for quite a few years for me

Ping hands down. Cameron built his reputation with Ping clones.

 

My current favorite is the Vault Arna. The line helps me with alignment and it's beautifully machined. Headcover is great too.

For me its always been Ping. Currently using the Sigma G Piper which is a couple of years old. Don't usually like putters with inserts, but the Sigma G has a sound and firmness I really like. Have a Redwood D66 and TR Anser as backup if I want to go back to a blade style putter.

The spider tour plumber's neck I bought in January is it. Haven't even picked up another putter all year when I go into edwin watts.
