My New P2/P4/P7 Positions

Here are my new P2, P4 and P7 positions. What are your thoughts on this? I tried to work on: 1) shorter backswing; 2) no early forearm roll; 3) more rotation on the backswing.

What’s your miss/ball flight? Without knowing that if I had to just go with what I see here I’d work on getting you more depth at the top (butt end of club more in line with right heel at P4). And start to work on syncing the arms and body up better. Your P6.5 definitely looks like you’re going to flip as the right arm is not working ahead enough and right heel is far off the ground.

Hey thx for the comments. My ball flight ranges from a pull to a pull-fade, 70% of the times, specially with my driver and long irons (2i and 4i to 6i).

 

With my short irons the ball usually ranges from pull-fade to straight.

 

Any suggestions on getting more depth at the top?

 

On 6.5 my heel should be on the ground or slightly off?

Well given that ball flight you definitely need more depth. A good way to feel it is without a golf club get in your swing posture with butt touching a wall behind you. Arms straight with hands touching (very much like if you had a golf club). Then move your right hip straight back and make your hands touch the wall, but do not allow them to go above hip level. The lower your hands the better. This is an exaggeration, but something you need if you want to create more depth.

 

When you take this same feel to a golf swing from there focus on swinging in to out. Having a head cover on the ground pointing right of your target and trying to swing out that way will eliminate the pulls and pull fades. I wouldn’t worry about the right foot for now until you can get depth and an in to our path.
