Hello all,

 

I went on and ordered some iron shafts from Golf Theory, which seems to be a store on Rakuten. The message I got before I submitted the order was that before the order was finalized, the individual seller would be in touch through email to confirm shipping charges, and then I would have to accept the final cost or not. Fast forward to today, I got a message (below) that the order was either cancelled...or not...I can't tell because the translator function isn't doing a great job conveying the message, or at least I don't get what the intention is here - to confirm or cancel. I didn't cancel the order, but maybe they don't ship this far over, or don't accept...Visa? I don't know.

 

Hoping someone here can clarify?

I’m pretty sure your order is canceled. I’ve bought from Golf Theory before and only received “order confirmation “ email from them.

 

Btw, you should also get a separate email from Rakuten themselves.

they are a mess to deal with.

correspondence is attrocious.

tried many rimes and gave up.

ha funnily enough my last order was a set of sp orange and they sent me 10 , 3 irons.

Hi bump up an old thread , may I check with previous threadstarter on is the issue being resolved previously ? I had just ordered yesterday and had an similar "order cancel" email response from the golf theory 😑  zzzzzzzzzz

What did you order?

Yeah, they will cancel items if they can't get them from a distributor or you order something that's a reshaft only.

I ordered 2 modus shafts ....they never even bother to reply ...very bad experience ....

That's strange. That's where I buy 90% of my stuff and never had an issue. They even communicated with me in English to let me know that item is on order.

I sorted out directly with rakuten themselves , ended up its due to my shipping delivery addr3ss not been set to the local forwarder address, i ordered fr banzai golf though few bucks more , they responded swiftly compares to golf theory , never even bothers to reply at all stating what's the issue for consumer to make good before canceling orders like in my case . Bad experience with them.

Neither really. Rakuten got away from international shipping couple years ago, and now they offer their own package forwarding. Who knows what they want from the shops. I've been using Tenso and it's been fine. Then tried to order from Tee Olive and they told me I need to use Rakuten forwarding service and they cancelled the order. Seemed like Rakuten wanted to force their service on shoppers?

 

I've bought a ton of stuff from Golf Theory over the years and would say they're one of the best shops on there. Most recent purchases were this summer.
