Is it the new KSig ball!!?

Do the arms "let it rip" at some point? When I do get disconnected, I hit weak swipes or pulls.

Speed sticks with PM?!?! Mind blown ? I assume full swing band or are you doing the driver protocol/short band? Talk about those silly gains more, this sounds like either the best or worst idea ever. Haha

Full swing band obviously ? !!!!

The heavy stick is brutal at top of the backswing for shallowing as it gets tricep burn going like you’ve never felt before!

When you go back to a normal club it feels like you can controllably whip away with what feels like a 50g shaft and no clubhead!

The other benefit after the heavy stick is that you effortlessly sync everything as it’s impossible not to unless you like injuries.

I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone who’s not very fit already though. I felt like I’d been beaten up after doing it and I’m addicted to CrossFit!

> People who have used the Planemate...what was the most glaring issue that it's shown you about your "before" swing? What felt strangest to you once you "got it right"?

Most glaring issues: inside takeaway and flipping. PM bread and butter. No training aid is better for those 2 issues.

Most obvious/aha moment: trail arm technique post impact (protocol 2)

Strangest “got it right” feel: I’ve always been pretty laid off at the top. I felt I was doing it exactly right a day after a PM session and looking at the slo mo I was still super laid off again even though I felt vertical with shaft in backswing. The “got it right” for me feels like an over-vertical feel in backswing (think feeling clubshaft at 1 o’clock at left arm parallel) and then it’s absolutely spot on. I may be the only one but it’s working...!

Been having issues trying to hit balls with the band on real grass versus a mat. If I use it to ingrain the feel and take it off totally fine with the ghost hands. If I force myself to beat away endlessly with no success I end up getting a out to across feeling swing and have trouble squaring the face. Then have to back off it for a day for the bad feel to go away and ingrain the good feels once again.

Not a huge issue, just wish I knew why. Most shots are hosel city.

You’re last line made me laugh considerably. CrossFit. Ha.

Planemate continues to blow people’s minds. Homemade versions are popping up but sincerely none of them compare to the real deal.

Winter is coming boys. Swing change and new driver season. Just keep swinging the club every day. Putt every day. And if you can get 9 or 18 in, get it.

Let me guess, and they’re all working to copy Wolff’s swing? :p

Anyway, just have to check the vids of his coach using it to know it’ll work!

Should be really the same thing. I just need to be careful that I set up correctly with the ball well forward and slightly more weight staying on the back foot in early transition.

I think I had the same problem. I tend to overturn with my arms and shoulders. So for me the feeling of linking up of arms to body was really huge. At first, I had no problem hitting full shots with planemate (surprisingly), but after a week or so, suddenly hosel city. The cure for me was really firing my left hip/turn into left buttocks/side tilt etc. whatever you want to call it. I think in my quest to link everything up, I was stalling my hips. Amazing ball striking for me once I focused on firing hips. Hope that helps.

Yeah...they try to swing like the Wolff...how did you guess?! :-)

We'll see how it goes when it ships out...

Same thing for me. I had it, then I lost it. Short band is still amazing and I can hit shots with it all day. I was striping it with the full band just focusing on swinging as if I wasn't wearing the band. However, if I don't use a tee I have lost all the feels on the full swing.

I will play with what you are saying.

One thing I've noticed using the PM a bunch is that I'm starting to lose my full follow through. I went to hit balls last night and my unconscious finish was the one PM forces you into where it's sort of that semi sawed off Tommy Fleetwood finish. It's more of an aesthetic thing though really as my ball flight and spin was still fine... I just sort of noticed that I had to "remember" to get into a full finish.

Now that off season is pretty much in full swing here in the north east, I'll probably just be using the PM once a week or so indoors doing some dry swings. It's now lifting season & hockey season.

Yea that’s why I was wondering how it is with driver. The thing is how it trains your impact position with bent right wrist and keeping the rotation going is really amazing so should translate just great just curious

Still a fair amount to work on, but it’s one of those things that slow motion video practice really helps hit home the improvements. When DTL my swing is more vertical and shallows naturally now.

Here is my swing 3 months ago face on at versus after the PlaneMate:

8xb0kfs58nqa.png

Still a bit of work to do, but what look like minor upgrades have actually had a huge effect on my golf game. I hit the ball so much farther now without even trying. The only issue this has created is dialing in the consistency of the distances as I learn the new feels. Max effort pitching wedge used to be 125 with my super slide swing, but that’s now my missed smoothie swing carry. If I get on one now it flies 140 (also higher with more spin) and my smoothie is 130 easy.

I basically run through all the short band protocols and then 50 full swings with the long band every morning, no matter what.

Only time I have seen sliding is for those who are on the too small side waist wise. I need guidance on that end as I have a few kids coming into our HS golf team on the super small side.

What band? It’s very important the long band is on the balance point.

In the long band video he said there’s a couple inches leeway for height considerations but should still be near the balance point

Using the long band it slides up when slightly above he balance point. And same with chipping band when it’s about three inches below grip.

I messaged Martin on Instagram just quickly a day ago and he said to move it up or eat more cheeseburgers haha!

Will muck around and find the spot that is a bit higher and provides resistance still.

Do you have a 20 inch waist?

I've started with the planemate and really like how it stops you from flipping and helps with rotatiin. I do notice that the miss it creates is a push / slice because of the face being open. Im thinking its due to slow rotation but I keep the wedge with the band in the follow through well. Any tips on squaring the club using this? The chip from day 3 seems to be tough for me and gives me the same miss with face open..

My miss has been a push mainly or a baby fade. I have noticed that if I get cute with the driver that is when these misses get more prevalent versus just going full out.

Only issue I had today is that when I was dialing in my new yardage numbers a few days ago, as I referenced in the post above, I didn’t account for using real golf balls versus range balls. Today I was flying my pitching wedge, and every other club for that matter, 10 yards farther than those numbers. So today was one of those days where I was happy given the distance and purity of contact, but it was a lost opportunity score wise. Thank god the flat stick was lights out, because most of the time at my home course balls above the flag are a death sentence.

You have to have some flexion in the lead wrist as the “relax” happens to square the face if you are in fact rotating through correctly
