Dumped mine for a new set of irons plus $200 to boot. I’m beginning to really think SC is highly overrated, and I’ve got 7 in the closet. Going back to my Cleveland!!

I’m really happy with mine. But I am used to and OK with the prices of all Camerons. I can see people’s point of them being overly expensive and not “worth it” but that is more opinions versus empirical.

2 GOLO 5s, a Golo3 , M1 Select, Futura 5.5 S and an OG Teryllium with no writing on the face, model before Tiger won the 97 Masters, plus the T22 I just dumped. Have a few more but they aren’t Scotty’s!! Going back to my Cleveland 6. > @luke1333 said:

Compared to my studio design 1.5 with slant neck, the first thing I noticed was the 1 degree more flat lie angle, and how nicely the ball rolled off the face and into a forward roll. Plus it has a beautiful soft feel and a different sound as well.

took my newport out and had a few 3 putts with it. not the putters fault as i was burning the edges of the hole but my distance control was lacking due tot he winter greens.

 

Happy witht he QC of my putter and i intend to game it so not bothered about the price.

I picked up a Newport and a Newport 2 on the initial release. (The NP2 was supposed to be my brothers, but he changed his mind just before they came in.)

 

No quality issues with either, and found the matte black finish even better than the pictures.

 

I’m gaming the Newport, and holding the NP2. And by gaming, I mean making everything.

 

Great feel, great look, great roll....hard to beat this one!

To the guys with the visible/warped/concave/not flush/ tel inserts......how long did Titleist take to get back to you?

 

I emailed them about my issue. Received a reply. Was asked for model/serial number/length and some pictures. But it’s been a while since then.

They've had mine for a month for the elastomer falling out

Just picked one of these up. Is there any special care required after using these in a round? If I remember correctly the originals required some maintenance.

Aside from cleaning with a soft damp cloth and a mild soap, there is no special maintenance. Mainly you just want to keep it free of dirt and not scratch it with an abrasive material.

sooo much easier to take care of this one (if there's nothing wrong with the insert lol) than the original

original was black oxen carbon so rust was an issue if you weren't careful. the t22 is stainless, so as above pretty bombproof.

late to the party but glad to be here.. Im cutting down my 35 to 33" ish and going from 10g weights to 20g ish.. was hoping to confirm if the Mallet weights that fits fast back from golf works fits the T22 fastback 1.5?

 

or does anyone have other weight recommendations?

 

I would like it to sit flush how it looks stock.

just confirmed with SC customs that the T22 fastback 1.5 takes the regular weights and not the mallets weights.

The weights from my Phantom 6 fit the T22. I just switched them.

I love my Newport. It doesn’t love the wet UK greens I play on in winter - it’s a struggle on long putts for me since early November. So it’s gone to hibernate until March and the fastback is back in. 6 years and still going strong!

Finally got to use the Newport 2 on course and I am very impressed. Excellent feel and feedback. I put a matador grip on it

My newport 2 34 came with 15g weights in it.

recently purchased 5g, 10, & 20g wieghts. let the tinkering begin!

Glad its worked out for you. Titleist never got back to me. Not sure why. Poor.

A friend of mine bought it off me in the end. I put the money towards a SSS 009 which has worked out far, far better for me.
