I would assume that it will be a milled face anser-style putter with an insert and interchangeable weights.

They usually try to eat the lunch of the highest-tier mass produced good by using their supply chain muscle to build something just as good, with a distribution model that lets them sell it for way less money.

That's going to be a pretty nice putter.

Everyone thinks Costco hot dogs are so cheap. I've always said they are the most expensive hot dogs in the world, for the reason above. You go in for a hot dog, and $549 later you walk out.

We get it, you think the putter is stupid.

History in golf for Costco says otherwise. My guess is China Blanks with Kirkland stamped in them. Dirt cheap, stainless steel, probably getting them for $10 a piece if that. And my guess is Anser style and no other option

I never ever said once they are working with Odyssey or Scotty.

I never even mentioned a brand, i said people are acting like they are automatically gonna suck cuz they dont say Scotty or some other major brand.

The ones I've dealt with, they only let you enter & exit one way... so you're stuck to the side of the pumps that your filling port is on.

I must say that I like the term "filling port" over "filling hole." Although I may begin to refer to it as a "filling hole" just to see how long it takes to annoy my wife.

What capking was saying is that the hoses on the Costco gas pumps are very long and can reach to the opposite side of the car. None of the Costco's near me sell gas. But a local Sam's Club location does. They have the same setup as Costco, where everyone pulls in from the same side. I will often pull into a pump on the opposite side of the "gashole" when there is nobody using that pump.

Yeah, it's quite the conundrum. I refer to it as a "gas tank," which is obviously completely inaccurate. "Gashole" does have quite a ring to it.

Honestly this is all just reminding me of the Simpsons episode where Moe makes fun of Homer for using the word "garage." It's a car hole.

Maybe they will be made in the same Chinese factory as your Titleist irons and wedges?

It may be fine, putters are putters but I wouldn't expect the quality to match most of the higher end designs. You're not getting a rebranded Scotty Cameron, it's probably not even at TM level.

>

> In the 1990s, Ram split its company into the Ram Golf Club Company and Ram Tour Balls. While the manufacturing operations still exist in a Chicago suburb, the club unit was eventually sold to Tommy Armour, with Ram Tour Balls being purchased by TaylorMade. The four Hansbergers retired, while Al's son Gary founded Vulcan Golf in Chicago. **The Ram Golf Company now only exists as a brand subsidiary of other corporations.**

>

RAM was just an example even if a poor one at best... Point being, you stated "an existing OEM" was probably making the putter. Since you threw that out there, I'm just curious as to who you believe that would be? If I am looking at putters, I am not initially searching RAM, Tommy Armour, Jack Nicklaus, not even Ben Hogan and those putters aren't bad. Call it good/bad marketing, whatever, but it's the reality for most people I believe. So if these were to be designed and made by a current OEM it could matter who it is.... If Scotty were designing them and they were being sold for $150, I'm sure they would fly.... if it's Tommy Armour, it doesn't have the same ring to it. I don't disagree, it's ridiculous, but I think it's the reality. All that said, I am curious to see feedback once they are out.
