Driver shaving

just played my first full season with my driver after having the cor increased and it worked I gained 5 - 8 mph of ball speed. I was starting to lose some distance with age and my buddy who I used to be even with was getting past me too often and my ego couldn't handle that so I did the hot drivers thing and I'm back with him and past him most of the time.

So you cheated? Do you use the leg iron in the to get a better lie? Do you keep an extra ball in your pocket, then magically "find" your ball in the woods? Curious.

You're free to play whatever equipment you want, but I'm curious as to whether your buddy knows that you're playing an illegal driver.

I don't care at all if someone used a shaved driver. Good for you to make the game fun for you. As long as everyone knows and don't have a problem, feel free. I play with 2 guys that have 2 to 4 extra clubs in the bags. I don't care at all, even when I lose.

The average golfer can gain 5 to 8 mph ball speed like the OP, sometime more, and fully USGA legal, so why do something thats both illegal and potentially cause a cracked driver? If the USGA legal solution sounds interesting, its quite simple and cost less than the illegal driver face shaving, and most can do it them self...

Well I have not been able to log on for a while so let me try to answer some of the question.

This does make your driver non conforming so if you compete it won't be a good idea.

Badds if that's really you your short game is awesome top 3 on tour in my opinion, as for your question what he doesn't know won't hurt him! lol.

I posted a while ago and people asked me to let them know if my face collapsed and this post was to let you know it has not and that's really 2 seasons of use.

as for cheating it's only cheating if you get caught!

As for score I don't really worry to much about score most golfers can't add in my experience but what I really like is dropping mail on others drives that makes me come back for more.

Love this site has great equipment info and good topics of conversation so I am not trolling.

I play with guys that can’t add. If it matters I point it out. If it doesn’t I don’t mention at the end of the round that they shot 89 not 78.

lol... screen name "CrushIt350", but has to use an illegal driver to outdrive people. Doesn't care that he's cheating, won't disclose it to the guy he's playing with. If it's okay, and not a big deal, why not tell him? If you find a wallet, do you take the cash out before returning it?

More likely that he's trolling I think. Or is involved with a driver shaving company.

I am with you on that--- I do not play comps or big money matches any more so I really do not care--- No one in the groups I play in could give 2 hoots either--- As far as someone out driving me I could care less on that now. I adjust and play my own game.
