Shoes with Extremely Wide Toe Box

Recommended Posts

Have had a similar issue, found good results with true OG, and the surprise winner for me, the Roshe Tour. Thats my go to, im just never the biggest fan of the zero drop in the Trues.

I have 4E 8.5 feet with a extra high instep so my feet are tall and square. I need a large toe box in order to accomadate the height of my instep and the 4E width and I always buy a 9 for the same reason.I have worn Foot Joy DNA's for at least 5 years. They provide the room I need and are extremley comfortable. This summer I tried the Foot Joy Pro Sl Spikeless and have found they are even more comfortable than the DNA's. Golflocker has last years Pro Sl's on sale for $69. It's worth the try given a suggestion from someone that has weird feet and has found a few golf shoes that works.

this might sound stupid, but it helps to use good quality, thin socks. The right pair of socks can make a standard feel like a wide (for my odd shaped feet, anyways).

I was a lifelong footjoy dryjoy user (still continue to use the pairs i have) until i tried eccos. Honestly they are incredibly comfortable and my toes feel so much "freer". Once my dryjoy arsenal gets depleted i will stick with eccos for a long time.

Hello folks. I found this thread as I have been struggling with the same issue. I have had several pairs of Nike's in normal and wide and I found them narrow AND long which made them very uncomfortable. I can't talk to many of the suggestions listed above but I can recommend the new Adidas Adicross Retro shoes.

As someone who often has problems with shoes rubbing on the 4th and 5th toe, these have a lot of room for all five toes and furthermore, the leather (not sure if it is genuine of man-made) is super soft. These really were out-the-box soft. I wore them yesterday on the course and they felt great. No issues, unlike the Nike React Vapour 2 (wide) that have rubbed a lot on the back 9.

The only downside is that they are a street shoe so, in the UK when it gets wetter these wont work. Does anyone have spiked Adidas shoes that have fitted nicely?

I have the same issue (need wide toe box) and lost count of how many shoes I tested, when it was time for new kicks. I wear size 9.5 extra wide, but had been gaming Footjoy Contour 10W for about 5 years.

Had high hopes for Ecco, but they didnt fit right unless I took out the insole. I wear a custom insole for arch support, so that doesn't work.

Adidas, Nike, Footjoy etc all got crossed off the list

Finally found 2 pairs that work:

Skechers Go Golf Elite V3 (10W): great walking shoes, were comfortable right out of the box. Decent support. Have only slipped a few times in very wet conditions despite being spikeless

New Balance 1701 (9.5 4E). Once I got over the looks, I became a fan. These work great, plenty of room in the toe, great grip, good support.

Based on what I've read and what others have told me, will be trying out the True OG and Squairz...

I was a True Linkswear loyalist (15 4E feet), though I've only purchased one pair since they relaunched and that pair is in the closet. I haven't tried the newest models, as they don't look to the naked eye to have the same width. As a result I'm all New Balance these days. The first gen True Linkswear Tours (clown shoes) are still my all time favorite shoe.

Adidas codechaos. The most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. The boost sole is incredible for someone who walks. My feet would hurt after every round in my Footjoy SLs but not a problem anymore.
The Adidas are super flexible and light and have a pretty large toe box. More of a sneaker style than traditional leather golf shoe

Foot-joy Stratos. I needed a wide toe-box to help avoid irritating a nueroma, and these have been a godsend.

How about Squaiz shoes for a wide toe box. I've tried New Balance they're good for wide feet but still tight in the toe box

I tried a pair of Squairz about a year ago.  The toe box was nice and roomy.  The problem (for me) with those shoes was the cut around the ankle was too high.  It was literally rubbing the heck out of my skin around my ankles.  I also didn't like that they felt really heavy but I could have lived with the weight if not for the deal breaking high cut.

Also, the owner was a complete dick when I asked to return them.

Ecco Sthree’s have a wider toe box than the Ecco Biom I have and they are also designed to remove the insole if you need more room.

That is the opposite of my experience. I found the S-Three narrower in the toe box and more pointy. For me the Biom was wider and rounder and also has the removable footbed.
