Titleist T200 experience

I recently put into play t200’s with AMT stiff white shafts. I’m a one handicap and have immediately noticed concerning results. I’ve noticed shots towards the toe fly close to 7 to 9 yards short of a shot compared to the sweet spot. My understanding were these were forgiving irons. I love the feel of these irons but these toe shots are very different than my previous Callaway cf16 Apex. Has anyone else experienced this or any other concerning traits?

I had the t-200s for 2 months until i recently exchanged them in the store for the mp-20s. While i found them to be great clubs, I have to agree there is some marked distance diff depending on the strike location, specially when compared with the mp-20s. With the mp-20s it seems like every decent shot flies the same distance, making them so much more consistent in that regard.

Another odd fact, i found myself hitting it quite often towards the toe with the t-200 (also with other larger heads) while I lean on the heel side with the MP-20s and smaller type clubs.

I have a t200 4iron, rest of my iron set are 900tours.

I don't find the distance loss at all. The exact opposite...the ball goes the same distance regardless of where contact is.

The biggest problem I have is that I can't seem to consistently find the sweet spot. I'm a scratch and can show on my 900tours where the ball mark is and it's about nickel sized. I hit them in the same spot almost all the time.

But I hit the sweet spot on the t200 4i about one out of every 3 swings. The feel off the face is terrible. I can hit it in the sweet spot or high or toes side and it feels exactly the same. I'm gonna give the club a few more rounds but may end up in a mp20 hmb...

Just got fitted for a set T300 but was looking at a combo set of T200/T300, or even all T200. For me, I really didn't see much difference in performance between T200 and T300. I did notice though if I hit the T200 out of the toe I could feel that where I couldn't really feel toe hits as much on the T300. That said what actually surprised me was with the T200 I'd say, "whoa that was a toe hit" but, it still flew near full distance.

To me choosing between T200 and T300 was based purely on looks. T200 probably has a little better turf interaction for some because of the thinner sole. I preferred the bigger more forgiving looking T300 but could have played T200 without any real difference in performance.

Great job by Titleist btw. For the players that are opposite of me who prefer the sleeker look of the T200, they can choose those without any really lose in performance vs T300. I could see me picking up T200 in W1-6i next summer just to have for those times of the year when I'm playing a bunch and feel like I'm a better player or just want a different look. That said a full set of T300 will be very inviting for my early season rounds or for when I'm only playing a couple times a month.
