Modus 105 Irons with what wedge shafts? - need your help

Getting ready to order a set of irons with Modus 105 Stiff and also going to get 52/58 Vokeys. I'm thinking Dynamic Gold 115 Wedge or Modus 120 S for the 52/58 wedges.

What have all you Modus 105 users learned/gone with? Not likely I'd stay with 105 in the wedges, looking for something a little heavier.

Thanks in advance for the input!

For those going with the Modus Wedge 115, are you custom ordering or reshaft after the fact? What was the original shaft and did you request/achieve a specific swingweight? Titleist doesn't offer the 115 Wedge as custom order.

So curious what shaft should I order with through Titleist and then reshaft to the Wedge 115 to get to a decent swingweight? Always get concerned controlling swingweight when reshafting.

Thanks!

I would go with the specific Modus wedge shaft, the 105 (111g) or 115 (122g). DG 115 is a good choice as well, but I wouldn't go with the Modus 120, I tried that in a 58* wedge and for me it just didn't feel right. Pulled it after a couple of rounds and replaced it with the same Modus 105 I had in my irons. That also didn't last too long, ended up going with a KBS Tour S which I've always liked in my wedges.

Doesn't matter what shaft you order from Titleist, the swing weight will be achieved with a tip weight. If you go with their standard DG wedge flex you'll get a SW around D4-D5. You'll probably loose at least 2 SW points if you reshaft with the Modus 115, more with the 105. I would order the Vokey with the DG 115 if they offer it with no up charge, it gets expensive if you have to pay for the Modus reshaft.

Thanks, very much what I was looking for! I'll likely take your advice and go with the the DG 115.

I was also going to call Club Champion and see what they say. I don't need a fitting, just looking to get Vokeys with the Modus 115 Wedge shaft. When I called Titleist it seems the DG 115 Wedge is balanced in such a way that it retains the same swingweight as the normal DG 130.

Disappointing with the popularity of Modus that most of the major MFGs aren't carrying the Modus specific wedge shafts as a custom order option.

I tried Modus 115 and hated it. Could have been the Cobra King Black wedge, though.

I just seem to get on well with the S200 for my 58*. Currently have S400 in my 54*, but not convinced on that o

I have 105X and went down to 120S in wedges. Works great. Pretty much the same weight and a little softer

Any thoughts on the KBS Tour 120 S vs Modus 120 S in the wedges. One of the fitters at a big box suggested the KBS Tour 120S in the wedges as a compliment to the Modus 105 S in irons.

His logic seemed to make a lot of sense. Said the KBS was going to be a little softer overall and in the tip and would generate more spin than the Modus 120.

Modus 120 has a very unique flex profile; very soft in the butt and stiff in the tip. It's one of those shafts that a person should judge for themselves before purchase. A lot of shafts can be selected based on weight but those are different.
