Changing A Neck on My Putter

I don't have any photos as of yet, but I'm converting a plumber's neck to a slant neck because I just see the lines so much better at address, and I can add a little bit more offset to help with that too. I've currently got the cup joint cut off, and original neck bent to the slant I want, now I just need to weld the cup directly atop the neck. I'll post photos of the finished product.

The longneck Byron with the Tiffany fill in my avatar. I figure it's worth a shot, and worse case scenario I can send it back to Byron himself to have the neck completely cutoff and redone by him.

I am in the process of converting a double bend Ping Ketsch into a long plumbers neck/crank hosel.

 

So far I'm loving how its looking.

 

I'm going to black out the shaft and hosel and add in a black grip for the full effect.

Turns out my little 120V, 90A flux core Lincoln cannot weld 307L wire very well, to join the 303 cup to the neck. I admitted defeat and sent it back to Byron for a new slant. Double shaft offset long slant, weld. I like it.

What do think the toe hang on that Kestch is too ng to be. I would love to know how that putters rolls when it is put together.

I've glued it, finished it in all black and rolled it about 3 times on a simulator. Everything about it seems good.

 

Just my eyeball and finger tests but it looks like it went from a straight arc Ketsch to a very slight arc with minimal toe hang.

 

Slight arc has always fitted me better so that was a nice bonus.
