16th Hole on the PGA Catalunya Stadium Course last week on vacation for the wifes 30th birthday.

Ah seeing this wish I had taken a picture - closest in years. So close I thought it was in for ~2 sec :(

 

Riverside golf club outside Jakarta - in Aug.

 

155 yds, hit a knockdown 7i that tracked the flag the whole way. Disappeared behind the stick for a sec, that's why I asked my playing partners if it went in. Could see it once I move to the side.

 

Now get this - get up to the green. My ball mark is 6" short of the pin, and the ball finished 18" behind the pin...and the group before hadn't seated the pin in all the way!! Argh - it was leaning ~30 deg...the ball would have struck it if it was straight in - of course don't know if it would have dropped...but still :s

I got one within about 18" at Blackwolf Run this spring. That was the high water mark for the year.

Just last weekend. Hole #11, but actually my second hole of the Sunrise 9 I was playing that morning. 136 yds and took a smooth 9 iron.

 

Ball didn't come to rest super close (about a 2.5' for birdie) but the group that left the green said my ball hit the pin, to kick left.

Hit the flag stick once this year. I have landed more than couple with 6', but only to roll them to the back of the green. There's a 210y par3 with a slightly elevated green at the home course. I hit my 5w perfect yardage to land the front of that green, and with roll out im always running it by the hole. Havent been lucky yet haha.

Lilifetime im still sitting big zero. Closest is about 2" after striking the flag on a short 90 yarder. The flag is behind a big oak from the teebox. Its fun because you can see the green while walking up to the teebox, but its mostly blind shot from behind the tree once youre up there. All i heard was a thwack and I walk up to see my ball sitting the there mocking me haha.

Another Don White 6 iron to 1/2” Pitch mark on the left. It was in all the way ?

About 6 inches away from 170 with an 8 iron. It didn't really have a chance, but it was sure fun to wish!

Too many to recap, but the latest was last Sunday. 7 iron to a 175 flag that hit 18" front and a little right of the flag, rolled up and around the cup, and came to rest 2" to the left of the hole. Grrrrr.

Same story and distance from hole for me. Except the Don White 6-iron part...

Low 6 from 150, wind blowing 18-21 into me and from the left. Green sits about 5 yards below the tee box and slopes back to front. Was shocked to see this much grip.

UGH. Freakin lip out yesterday. Had around 150 in, planned to hit just a soft 7 ... and caught it a little thin. It was on line but I just assumed it was gonna be short. Safe but short. I turned to walk off the tee when my buddy goes "Dude ... that's going in."

Turned back to look and I guess it'd caught an incredibly lucky bounce just short and was indeed rolling right towards the pin cut around the middle-right of the green. I was 100% ready to lose my shit - ya know that feeling when time seems like it's slowed down and 2 seconds feels like 2 minutes? Yeah, that.

Rolling, rolling, rolling ... at the pin ... then took a left turn. Stopped a couple feet away.

About 3 inches. Ball mark actually collapsed a bit of the hole. Almost in on the fly.

High cut 6 iron at about 170.

 

Sigh. Another year.... again.

First round of 2019 was the closest and haven't smelt it since. 7th at Presidio, off the black tees early morning into the fog, smoked a low cut 4i that somehow stopped almost dead in its pitch mark one ball roll away from an Ace... Sigh. What a start to the year that could have been

Was about a foot away on our 16th hole 205 over water. And then had my second on our par 5 18th come up 6" shy of an albatross.

My mom who has only played for about 6 years and doesn't care got a hole in one this year. Guess that's how it goes.
